Day off for Miguel Cabrera. He left last night's lopsided game late with right knee soreness, but manager Ron Gardenhire downplayed it postgame.

Tigers vs. Astros Preview: An ace-off this is not.
If only Justin Verlander could start for the injury-decimated Tigers? rotation on Wednesday.

We traded the wrong guy. Or maybe we gave a 10 year deal to the wrong guy.

Good Lord, does Jones start on the warning track? Reddicks fly ball to center was up there a long time and Jones never got close to it. Hell, Nick got closer to it and it was almost straight away center.

Just like old times: Verlander dazzles Tigers at Comerica Park.
Detnews

Verlander made his 189th start at Comerica Park Wednesday, his second as a member of the Houston Astros and, after they walked off with a 5-1 win, he had his 99th win in Detroit.
No pitcher has won more baseball games at Comerica Park.

“He just needs to go find himself, find his swing,” How about Jacoby - doesn't he need to find his swing? As far as Candy some nice things early last season and has been worthless since.
