Game 6: Lions @ Browns Thread

This game is pretty much done and still got a half to go. Of course Cleveland gets the ball after halftime because the NFL mandates that the Lions always get the ball first. The Browns score on their first drive after the half to put the nail in the coffin.

Seriously guys, what kind of defense is Gunther calling. I'm seeing them move away from the browns' receivers as they're running their routes.

Terrible first half

Absolutely terrible coaches

Let's see if they can come up with any adjustments for the second half

Doubt it but ya never know!

That's called a ZONE defense.

In Gunthers case....it's all he runs and it's extremely predictable.

It's hard for me to fault Stafford right now with all of the big drops.

They just trade off. If he's remotely accurate, they'll drop balls, otherwise he gets happy feet, over and under throwing terribly.

He almost only looks like we hope he would when they're down big with the game slipping away.

Weeden f'en blows and he's torching us because Gunther left his defense in Kansas City years ago...we need coaches than can make adjustments much quicker

I'm glad everyone is waking up to this fact.

Drop kick the clipboard again Gunther and then drop kick yourself right into space

Is a zone designed to leave them wide open as the ball is traveling toward the receiver? I say that because I don't think any defense is designed to allow the receiver to be open the closer the ball travels to him.

He's been pretty damn accurate today....6 or 7 drops. Not tough catches either. Nobody is going to throw in right between the numbers every time. The WR get paid too. Need to catch balls. Stafford has 120 more yards right now if guys just catch the ball and drop dead.

Who here thinks our first offensive play in the second half will be a run with bush up the gut for no gain

Yep you know it!

I would like to see a screen.

But you're much more likely to be right.....I say 2 yard gain.
