Game 6: Lions @ Browns Thread

Hey, we're 4-2 and have played 4 of our 6 on the road. That's pretty damn good. Yes, it was Cleveland and Washington......but who cares.

Cincinnati at home next week is a very winnable game. A couple of nagging injuries heal up completely (CJ's knee, Bush's knee and Nates arm) and we'll be even better.

My worry is our inability to get pressure on teams that can handle our front four. Gunther might be the single biggest liability on this team. We all look at our DB's as not being able to cover.....but what DB can when a QB has a full 4-5 seconds. Not even Revis is gonna have success in those situations.

Gotta bring some pressure in some situations.

Anyone want to take an over/under on how many points Peyton puts up on the Jags today...?

cinci continually plays down to their competition....I agree very winnable. Safety play was late several times today which made the corners looks worse....wonder why we were in so much zone...seemed like it a lot today didn't it? Dline really needs to get beter if were not going to blitz the remainder of the year...they just aren't applying consistent pressure. If its not working....I think we need to go away from rotating so much...seems to be a disruption more than anything.

Was nice to see the offense move even without CJ being 100% avail.....oline has been great all year minus last week. As long as reggie continues to be used effectively we should be able to move the ball.....I don't know what the hell they were thinking continuing to pound him inside last week.....but hopefully we don't do that ever again. This reggie was much more effective in the outside runs and short passing game.

Yeah I'll take any win...especially a road win where a hurt CJ arguably had his worst career game.

If I recall correctly the Browns had 125 yards rushing at halftime? They finished with 126 for the game.

I'm not convinced but that'd be nice if it ends up being the case.

if durham was coming into his own he would have had like 200 yards today. He dropped like 3 passes thrown right to him. drops I usually put on the qb too with slightly inaccurate passing....but a lot of the drops today were perfectly thrown balls.

I don't think 12-4 is out of the question looking at the remaining schedule, but then again with the lions neither is 4-12 yet. Lol

this is how I felt at the start of the year lol. I picked somewhere in the middle @7 but I didn't expect 2 early divisional wins. Team has the talent to be 8-8 easy but needs to stop only playing for 2 quarters in their games.

This.

Lions got a little lucky today that Weeden is.....well......Brandon Weeden. Otherwise they are looking at a 20-24 point halftime deficit.

Like how this team has stopped the stupid personal foul bullshit.....but the DL needs to cut down the penalties.

Schwartz actually acted like a grown up today after the win....which is good.

Damn you mayhew. I blame him for all this stupid winning

durham maybe coming into his own?

Don't know about that......but he did create some seperation on a number of occasions against Skrine.....who is a solid corner.

He has good size and decent speed. It's not like he is a talentless hack, he was a third round pick last year.

Love him as a #4.

What would be really nice is if he worked hard on his route running and became a good possession guy....like a Colston type WR.

4-2 feels even better considering 4 of those games were on the road where we know the Lions struggle in recent memory.
