Must win!!

Else they will have lost every road and home series, save @ orioles since the beginning of May.

Their Rdiff is the absolute worst in MLB, since the orioles have played 3 more games, and the #1 pick is likely in the bag already. They won't need to lose 110+ games to do it. I will never root for my hometown's teams to lose, unless its the last game (or series) of the season, and losing would result in a higher pick, ala the Lions last year, who of course won a meaningless game by SHO @ the packers instead.

Norris Ks the royals in order...but they "are" the royals.

The royals may not have fielded as many contending teams, post 20th century, than the Tigers have...but they came away with a WS championship in '15, and came about as close as is possible to winning two in succession, unlike the Tigers, who were never in either one of their two WS.

Bases loaded and no outs, yet all that this offense could muster is a lone run on a sacfly.

Greene notches his 20th save...he has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season so far.

Tigers 3 - Twins 2: Shane Greene collects his 20th save.
Both teams squandered chances, or the pitching was tough in the clutch, take your pick.
