Miguel Cabrera could reach a significant milestone in Venezuelan baseball tonight.

His next hit will be his 2,677th, tying Hall-of-Fame shortstop Luis Aparicio.

Among Venezuelan-born players, only should-be-Hall-of-Fame shortstop Omar Vizquel (2,877) has more.

edit;
Won't be tonight....

Bottom 3rd inning;
Miguel Cabrera swings at a pitch and appears to pull in his left bicep. He drops his bat at the plate and walks straight off the field, clearly in pain.

Cabrera injured the same bicep on April 29 and missed three starts before returning.
It was described as "left biceps spasms" at the time. This looked like more than spasms.

If Miggy tore his bicep he's gone for the year....

If it's bicep tear-Supervised physical therapy is typically advised. Partial tears usually heal within 3-6 weeks.
Resume regular training only when you have normal shoulder and upper arm strength, full range of motion, and no pain.
Full tear is usually surgery and a lengthy rehab.

Welp! Miggy will be out for another month again fk! I’ll be we don’t see him again till after the all star break

Miggy injured again...less than two weeks after returning from injury.

Wasn't hitting like he had in April, either.

.325/.412/.530/.942 in unusually cold April.

.250/.362/.300/.662 in June.

Miggy out for an inning and I’m already back on the political board, sigh, I’m really going to have to find something better to do with my evenings and weekends now for the rest of the baseball season cuz that’s not going to work either

Tigers take the lead on an RBI triple by Iggy, who scored on a sacfly by Martin..2-1.

get used to it. He's 6'4", 250 lbs, 35 years old and has been playing professional baseball for 15 years. His body is probably starting to break down a bit. Just wait until 2022 & 2023. He'll probably look like V-Mart does today.

Tendon strain undergoing MRI I’ll be be surprised if he doesn’t miss at least two months

Naw he’ll retire before it gets to that IMO

Lions preseason begins @ 10:30 pm August 10 @ Raiders...:rush:

Sure why not

I'll bet you can't come up with 3 MLB players that retired early and gave up more than $15M that was due to them. It just doesn't happen....nor should it. If I'm him I collect every dime I am owed. He might need it...supporting 2 families and all.
