Tigers vs. Indians Preview: Cleveland is starting to take control of the AL Central.
The Tigers hung close for a while, but Cleveland has now opened up a six game lead in the standings.

Cleveland Indians vs. Detroit Tigers, at Progressive Field, June 23, 2018 Matchups, Preview.
Baseball Reference

Liriano 40 pitches in the 1st inning.

Cocksucker trevor bauer hits another Tigers batter. Goodrum and Martin.

When are Tigers pitchers going to defend Tigers batters from that huge asswipe and POS trevor bauer? Bauer hits a Tigers batter or two seemingly every game.

WORTH NOTING

* Candelario struck out in all four of his at-bats on Saturday night. He's hitting .128 (6-for-47) with 20 strikeouts in his last 13 games.

After his third strikeout against Bauer, Candelario vented his frustration at home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott's wide zone, pointing at the ground to indicate that the pitch was low. (It probably was.)

* Progressive Field was sold out on Saturday night for the first time since Opening Day on April 6 against Kansas City. The Indians are now averaging 21,253 paid seats per game, 22nd in baseball. They're just behind Tigers, who have averaged 21,708 per game at Comerica Park.

MLB figures count paid tickets sold rather than fans actually in the seats. In any case, Saturday night's crowd in Cleveland was a legitimate full house.

Indians are clearly the best team in the division. They'll probably win the division by 15-20 games.

Remember that year the tigers were more less ave cept for how they beat up on Cleveland all year to look better than they were then got spanked in the post season. That’s the Indians this year beating up on the tigers and will get spanked in the post season

that could happen. NY, Boston and Houston are great teams. The Indians do have 2 #1 pitchers though with Kluber and Bauer.
