Tigers vs. indians Game Preview / Gamday.

The FSD crew is already busy polishing Tigers turds, and the game hasn't even begun yet.

Vicky walks leading off....then gets picked off first.

Tigers don't threaten and don't score 1-2-3.

Nice weak foulout behind C, Wilson.

Kitties go hitless through 3 and lineup.

Carpy still pitching in the bottom 3rd...6-0....he blows the catch at first and another run scores...7-0.

Need to find someone, anyone who can replace this fill-in scrub.

And they might still trade Boyd?

Yay...another rain delay in consecutive games!

Moar roar of '84 reruns?

I had already made the decision that I wouldn't watch another Carpenter start. Not surprised to see he still sucks. I just don't get why he keeps getting chances.

Wilson fouls out again to catcher.

Mercer grounds out.

Reyes grounds out.

Lose 8-zip and get one hit SHO....Way to blow, pussycats!!

Carpenter optioned after rough start in Cleveland.
Who can Detroit call up to fill the fifth starter role?

Cleveland 8 - Tigers 0 : The rain delay was the best part.
This is beyond ridiculous, Tigers.

Consider myself to have been very fortunate to attend games @ the late Tiger Stadium for less than a sawbuck, especially those "real" doubleheaders of yore...won't spend any of my money supporting naked greed, since Chris Ilitch apparently only cares about reaping increasing profits, the teams which they field and the die-hard fans who still attend games be damned.

I would cut the cable cord, but my wife wants her shows to watch, so I won't be able to avoid contributing to FSD for now. But if Chrissy manages to create and operate his own local sports network, then there is no way in hell that I will be paying extra for the dubious entertainment benefit of watching mediocre or worse teams perform on his network channel(s).

The AA and AAA farm teams of large and mid-market ballclubs which are located in small cities likely will be fielding much better and cheaper products to support and attend their games, than Detroit sportsfans will be "treated" to from now on...oh the irony.

I remember in '84 I went to about 40-45 games for a total of maybe $160. Nice bleachers seats were really cheap back then and affordable for a 19 year old. Cutting the cord is liberating.

Carpenter sent back down after game which means he won't be eligible to pitch this weekend so I'm guessing we'll see Alexander or Burrows
