saw this on another board but supposedly he's done at MSU, he's calling it a career, not sure if he's going to play basketball but he's graduating this year.

I'm kind of indifferent on this, we won't replace him with anyone most likely, the minutes that are available will help younger players develop. Schilling really needs to improve because he's going to be looking at 15-20 a game next year at the 5

This has been speculated upon for a few weeks. This is why I asked in the recruiting thread about clarifying available scholarships for next year.

With Harris going pro, that's an open scholly for next season. With Byrd graduating and perhaps transferring to play immediately elsewhere that's another open scholly. Gauna being done would open up a third scholly. If Dawson had gone pro Izzo would be sitting on four scholarships for next season.

Byron Wesley would be a big get for depth so the youngsters can develop at a more normal pace. Also, maybe Goins gets a scholarship sooner than otherwise speculated.

I'm kind of torn on Wesley, he should make us better next year but maybe it slows Bess's development. Everyone says a lot of good things about Ellis in practice, I'm happy if we get him because coach wants him but i'd be fine if he didn't come here either.

we're not replacing him with anything for next year, it wouldn't hurt to have another body and 5 fouls.

Agree. We are going to be thin on front line but he if he is missed then it wont be a good season no matter what.

I won't be happy he's gone if schilling or Costello gets sick or injured
