greenwood future #1 cb

greenwood will be just fine. he will only get better and last week he showed he is able to hang. he is physical enough to finally play the type of CB role we have been asking for decades, get on the line and physically knock the WR out of the play before he gets 5 yards. he seriously showed the potential to be a Revis level CB, if some of you don't see it that way yet, I can understand the apprehension and doubt, just saying it will be nice when he gets more development and proves the doubters wrong. guy was tight on every play last week, and for that to happen on 40+ snaps is impressive for a guy who just got to see his first real action. sure he will get burned from time to time, Revis has too, but the tightness of the coverage and quick tackle after catch for minimal YAC...very impressive. cheap version of Revis, which this team desperately needs. QBs will continue to test him, but that's a good thing for his development. next year he should start, year after he should be getting major props from everyone, even the current haters. many highly talented guys have taken untraditional paths to Pro Bowl level of play in NFL, Greenwood will be that guy for the Lions.

He will only get better? And you know this, how?

And no idea how booger got quoted in that previou post???

I'm piss-sigh-kick....as in I just pissed my pants which made me sigh and gave myself a swift kick in the ass, after which I had a vision. All I can tell ya is that Kraken is some wicked good rum!!!!

Lol.

and just cuz Greenwood gave up the winning TD vs Vikes does not change my opinion he is future #1 CB. did Revis ever give up a game winning TD? YES!

he's still young and very rough but the kid can ball. next year much more playing time and the following year starter then #1 CB. he's on a great trajectory with huge upside still being developed. even better chance with new coaches.

At this trajectory he'll be a #1 in 2042 :D

He will probably not be revis but he looked very good in his limited snaps. Great against the giants and ok against the vikes. Nothing he could really do on the td. He read fade and they went back shoulder at the goal line. Would have liked to see him stay closer there but still learning in only his second game. He has potential but with new coaching staff coming in depending on scheme he may not fit. I would like an aggressive defense like we have seen from better teams over the years instead of us always sitting back. Not sure he fits in most zone schemes nor do any of the other guys we have drafted or signed. They all have played better when they engage early on.
