Hey tinsel - big bang theory question

I had an episode on just now while I ate my caprese salad. I don't watch regularly, and I even forgot the main characters names (other than Sheldon), but in the episode there's another couple, and the guy is Kelly Cuoco's character's ex-boyfriend. He and his wife can't have kids, so they want the curly haired guy (Sheldon's roommate, Kelly Cuoco's boyfriend) to donate sperm to them.


In the episode Kelly says she won't have kids with him (her current boyfriend, sheldon's roommate), and decides maybe it's okay if he acts as a sperm donor to them.



Do you know why she won't have kids with him? Do they ever have kids later in the series?



I don't care enough to watch more episodes, but I am curious.
