Denzel is having himself a day!!!

27 10 and 9 very early in the 2nd half.

He might be averaging a triple double after this game.

He's unreal!!! In complete control at all times and can do whatever he wants. Never dreamed he would improve this much. And yeah, he's close to averaging a triple double.

He got stronger and lost some weight and is quicker and more explosive. The dunk he had in the break away was impressive. He's an NBA player.

When Valentine was a freshman, I said he would go down as one of the best players before it was all said and done.

I was worried his hot dogging would put him in Izzo's doghouse. He's controlled that part of his game the last couple years and has really flourished.

I know it's just 5 games, but this team looks better than any other Izzo team in November since Mateen Cleaves was here. Beat Boise St. Tomorrow and Arizona should be a good test in the finals.

This team could win it all, Izzo knows it too as he is being harder on this team than any team in years. He is demanding excellence. Really stunned at how they look. I'm sure they're capable of losing some head scratchers, but they look special so far.

The line up of Valentine, Harris, Forbes, Bess, and Davis is deadly.

This is one of the most fun teams MSU has fielded in the past 10 years. They'll score close to a 100 all the way until big ten play.

I thought this would be an avg team. There arent any "stars" or people that are supposed to be. Davis was a 4 star Mcdonalds All-American (which is weird). They all paly well, there arent any truly weak links. Odd team but man they can move the ball and score at will on people. Davis had to have put on 20 lbs He looked frail last year and he looks normal now.

Average? I thought we'd be good, but I thought we'd be good in March and struggle some early. What we see could be related to us going to Italy this summer. Team got to play together and played against some NBA talent.

I thought we'd be a Sweet 16 team that if they got hot could make the Final 4. They look like a team that can win it all. Izzo said several time he thought this team would be better than last year's.

For this program sweet 16 is a below avg accomplishment in the last 20 years. I figured a sweet 16 team maybe 3rd in the B10. I assumed Harris would be up the with Valentine in scoring, Davis getting good minutes and Clark starting to become a force forbes hitting 3s. I really had no idea they would be playing at this level from the first tip. Really hard to tell but these guys PLAY GREAT TOGETHER and im expecting good things this year barring injury.

I've never seen them look this good this early in the season.

They shot 69% in the second half, 63% for the game. Arizona beat winless Santa Clara in ot.

What's crazy is that Gavin Schilling was a beast this summer and more than held his own against NBA level competition in Italy. He's going to start over Costello IMO and he gives us a totally different dimension inside. Davis is better at this stage than we could have hoped, our big man rotation gives us a little bit of everything, but all 3 can rebound and defend. Schillings athleticism inside is going to be fun to watch with how well this team passes.

Such a well rounded team, they have a little bit of everything. You know that Izzo is going to challenge them just to see how they overcome adversity.

Arizona was taken to OT by a winless Santa Clara team last night.

I don't think Schilling will start unless he proves that he can stay out of foul trouble. He is also not as good of a back to the basket scorer as Costello.

The team does look very good for an Izzo-coached team in November, but before we start punching tickets to the Final Four, I think the team needs to improve it's defense, particularly out on the perimeter. BC shot 47% last night. Also we saw against Kansas the team struggle to get quality shots, and it took a second half tear by Denzel to rescue them.

Yep Costello gave them next to nothing today. Without Valentine being white-hot in the second half they would have lost. Other than Nairn the team has issues right now defending dribble penetration. Boise had a good game plan though. Spread us out and try to get to the basket, and they were able to make some from outside too.

32-9-6 from Valentine against a feisty BSU team today. Wow, Boise is well coached. Valentine went off though.

Nairn with another good game 9 and 7 assists, he's really coming on. Davis with 12 points, he's a beast.

Team passes very well.

Zona will have its hands full with Providence tonight. Finals are Sunday night.

Valentine averaging 20-9-9, insane!
