How will Colorado do against OH*?

I think the buffs are going to go after Miller and get him rattled and making mistakes. If they can do that the OSU fans will turn on him and it will be all down hill from there for OSU. I hope this is how it will go anyway.

Pre season, I wanted Bauserman to be the starter at first. Now, I don't even really want him to see the field again. I would rather watch Braxton win us a few games with his playmmaking and lose us a few games with his freshman mistakes. I don't think he can learn anything by sitting behind Bauserman anymore.

That said, barring a big play or two, I don't see Colorado scoring more than twice against the D. I am also pretty sure Ohio State will be able to run all day on CU. I am thinking along the lines of 31-10 OSU meself but I am also a homer!

After having watched bauserman for 3 years you wanted him to start?

He is and always will be terrible. There is zero reason for him to play another snap the rest of the season....getting miller experience makes tons more sense but I'm guessing we will still see Joe anyway.

That was the WORST qb performance by an OSU qb I have ever witnessed.

I think they have been keeping Miller on a pretty tight leash thus far but he is a far better runner than Bauserman partially because he is more confident and partially because he is quicker. Braxton was moving the ball against Miami on the ground but he also threw a bad pick and fumbled a few times.

Miller will never match Pryor or Robinson in terms of ability to make plays with his legs but he is "supposed" to have a higher ceiling as a passer.

I have a few problem's with Bauserman but the biggest is that it seems like his receivers have lost confidence in him because he is so inconsistent delivering the ball and because it seems like only ever looks at two options. There were certainly some drops and there was also a play or two where he threw a decent looking ball only to watch the receiver pull up short. It could be the result of having young receivers (3 of the top 4 on the field are freshman right now) but they seem to respond to having Miller out there.

weird. I must have missed that on his zero completions against Miami

Were you insinuating that against Akron or Toledo they responded better?

AND of course, Miller is a better runner than Bauserman. I don't think anyone was going to argue that. From what I see, I don't see this higher ceiling as a passer for Miller. He looks worse than Denard did his freshman year.

Denard went 27/55 his freshman year despite the entire defense expecting him to run every play. I'd hardly say at this point in the season denard has outshined miller in that regard.

In barely a game of play miller has half the completions denard had in his entire freshman season and the only pick miller has thrown was on a tipped ball.

I wanted Bauserman to start so we could bring Braxton along slowly. I always felt that starting Pryoy so early hurt his development.

The only thing that could make this weekend better than last weekend if ND adds a loss to the equation but I really do not see ND, OSU and MSU losing but one can dream

This is the 'if everything goes right' story in CO too ...keep it close, get a little lucky OR .... '57-3' or so, buckeyes.

Yeah, one can hope for an upset.

The difference is when Miller comes into the game, OSU is actually looking for him to run the offense. When Denard came in his Freshman year, Michigan was looking for him to BE the offense. The simple fact that he only threw the ball 55 times on the year proves that. Outside of the Iowa game, Forcier was the starter and the go-to guy when they were looking to pass the ball. It's hard to get into any sort of groove when you're getting about 4.5 pass attempts per game.

Denard had 3 weeks of practice before that season started. That is why he only passed 55 times.

Miller looked OK for his third ever college game. He has a long way to go but he was doing a good job of keeping plays alive this week.
