When he signed the 5.3 mil contract. 5-5.5 mil was the going rate for a starting goalie. The length was too long considering Mrazek was already coming up. When Mrazek first came up Howard couldn't take the competition and turned to shit.



While I wouldn't have minded Wings trading Howard, I think you are right. Good chance he will retire as a Cougar.

Holy crap why is the 5th spot at 37% when we may finsh 1-3. It makes zero sense to me.

I believe it stems from an attempt to prevent tanking.


Instead of straight up guaranteeing last place team the top pick, they now have a nearly 50% chance of top 3 pick, and 50% chance falling to 4th.


Picks 2 and 3 are just tagging along.


I wouldn't mind the draft odds for worst teams to be even lower. Give the teams that barely miss a better shot. Fuck the teams that tank.


I would even be okay with all teams which don't make the playoffs have the same odds and lotto all the non-playoff picks. Why should your system be rewarding mismanagement or intentional tanking?
