I don't know about you but I wasn't really surprised Johnson was that high up for me, after looking at his platform, I actually agree with many of his views.

it's due to his stance on personal liberty and foreign policy.

he is/was one of the few GOP candidates to be consistent in his "small government" stance: legalize mj, stay out of abortion, stay out of marriage, stay out of war, don't wiretap/eavesdrop warrantlessly, etc. unlike the bigger hypocrites of the party, for whom "small government" means "cut the programs I don't agree with, and the laws I don't like, but create more laws and programs for things I support."
