I am a murderer...

Since when has "God" appointed Pat Robertson as beng his earthly judge of humanity? \

If Robertson has never wanted for lack of food, shelter and clothing, and he likely has a personal net worth in the millions, how can he expect to get past St. Peter @ the "Pearly Gates" and into heaven upon his passing, since the Bible's New Testament has a passage in it that Jesus told his Disciples: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

I owned the first GTA, a gift from a friend. All I did was steal cars and drive at full speeds getting chased by cops (that bit was fun). The rest of it, holy crap it was violent. No enjoyment.

uh, not sure what you were playing, but I don't remember anyone ever pleading for their life on the ground and shooting them in any of those games.

I'm pretty sure there were Russians in it. Does that narrow it down?

Top down 2D gameplay? I actually remember that one (on PC I think). Only played it a little.

Yes. PC, graphics were good and stealing firetruck/ambulance (I forget which they had) was awesome as well as the fast cars. But like I said, I just drove around - I didn't do any missions.

People are hilarious.

They complain about GTA, yet play COD or BF3 and have no problem shooting people there. Or play MMO's and engage in PVP.

For fucks sake, most humans are capable of differentiating fantasy and reality.

Just something else for some to act self-righteous about.

In GTA3 you could do missions for the ambulance and firetruck. Pick people up and take to hospital, and put out fires.

Of course the most fun was stealing a cop car and doing "vigilante" missions. Maybe that's Zimmermans's excuse?

When I was in 6th grade (1982-83 schoolyear), my teacher thought video games made us wilder than those that came before us. Now, video games back then included Pac-Man, Pitfall, Frogger, etc.

My favorite was GTA 3, I would get the sniper rifle and go to the high rise that was under construction by the Yakuza, pick off people until I got enough wanted stars for the helicopters to come, then I'd blow them out of the sky with a bazooka. Shortly after the national guard types would come in the Bradly tanks, Id wait till one was cornered, open the door and fling the soldier inside out....then run amok around town in my indestructible death machine. Even if you just tapped another car, they would instantly explode. So I would just murder the whole town till I got bored, drive the tank to my garage, park and save game, then when I came out, no wanted stars, and I still had a tank.

Pat Robertson would probably think I'm the anti-christ.

do you remember the redneck pedestrian guy in GTA:III? He would say random things like "Yep, I been drinkin again!" "my mother's my sister" or "gotta pick up a load of manure."

whenever I read one of tsmith's posts, I read it in that voice.
