what the in fuck exactly WAS THAT out there today.......stafford looked flat out un-fucking-inspired out there. horrible play calls, not going deep to megatron, horrific two minute drill......even through all that bullshit WE STILL had a chance to go down the field with a minute left. and what does stafford do? throw a short damn pass only to be sacked after the next play.....sure, backus shitted the bed right there BUT stafford held on to the ball for far too long once again.....

i've NEVER seen staff play that bad before.....it's almost as if HE THREW THE FUCKING GAME.....i don't know if that's a true statement or the conspiracy nut in me coming to the forefront. stafford's play was just plain inexplicable today, WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU GUYS THINK?!!!!!!!!!!!!

San Fran had great pass defense all day and we've got a shit run game. Our play calling sucked and the O-line was trash once again. I thought we did a good job keeping it tight, but it was frustrating to watch the offense struggle to do anything.

but do you think san fran's the better team? i mean stafford flat out choked out there today......he had men open and he utterly and completely missed them, it was fucking unexplainable......HE is where we lost that game.....i'm not panicking BUT i just felt with that rabid ass crowd at ford field, we SHOULD NEVER lose any games at home this year.....I'M PISSED.

No. I think we're about equals. I think we've got a better passing game, they've got a better run game, we've got a better d-line, they've got a better o-line, etc. We lost the game on special teams and by not being able to get the offense going. You play ten times, I think you'd see anywhere from 4-6 wins by either team.

Staff might not have had his best day but certainly not flat out bad. He didn't have much time to throw. A few tip balls and very little run game.

But personally I think Detroit wins 7 of 10 against these guys.

18 run attempts vs 50 pass attempts when leading for most the game will not get it done. We knew our running game or lack there of would come back to haunt us and it for sure did this game. The play calls HAVE to be better though for us to have any continued success.

man, i feel if staff played anywhere close to how he usually does, we run the 49'ers out of that fucking building......that win was there for the taking. we beat ourselves, with the defense over pursuing, the offensive line being dominated in the pass protection game, (an area where we were supposed to be superb at) and stafford's outright suckage. you take those three things out of this ballgame and i feel we blow san fran away......we're better than than them , i promise.

Our OL was owned for much of that game, forcing short quick throws and some innacuracy on Staffords part. The defense played fairly well for much of the game but gave up a couple big run plays. All is not lost folks... did anyone really expect this team to go undefeated?!?

agreed.

its the nfl.......even if you go 10-6 you lose over 1 third of your games......we didn't play like we should have....now lets see how the team responds...if it is kept up next weekend then its time to worry a bit..

You have to factor in the play calls as well. I think it has to be held accountable maybe not as much as those executing them but it did play a factor this game. When your up 4 and have 2 drives 1st and 10 on the 49 and 40 with a chance to put the game away you have to at least take shots down field and not just be content and hope the defense comes up with the stops to win the game.

not to mention san fran in 5-1 now...not exactly playing like a cupcake team either......i think its good that we played like crap and still had a chance to win against a 4-1 team...like i said...on to next week..still 5-1

I'm just glad I didn't watch that shitstorm. Had to help a friend move. Good for me, because everything in the house would have probably been broken

i know they're not going undefeated, (neither are the packers for that matter) this was just a plain old trap game, which is nice to have considering the depths from which we've sprung. it's just that believe it or not we're playing for playoff positioning (we're going to make the playoffs by the way) and WE CAN'T AFFORD to give games like this away. if a team comes in and smashes us, so be it no matter how much i never want to see it. but we can't lose these close ones, not anymore.

Who do you see beating the Packers?

@ Lions on TGD or on NYD?

The Raiders @ Lambeau?

@ Giants?

any team...cuz its the nfl.......didn't the browns beat the pack last year?....didnt we beat some teams we weren't supposed to last year?...tampa bay got smoked last week..and now they are beating new orleans.........

After this weekend I want to break my face on a brick wall. WTF was that out there.. The offense was so uninspiring all day.. This team does not go for the juglar to put a teams away. And then i am thinking to myself don't freaking punt it to Ginn and sure enough a 39 yard punt gets returned 40+ yards. Our team was totally out coached today from top to bottom. They never adjusted to the inside handoff to Gore and Scott Linehan had a terrible gam and game plan... Stafford looked rattled and he looked like he had bo clue and could not make adjustments on the fly.. Holy crap we just let a Alex smith lead team beat us... Totally unacceptable.
