I just got another robo call from the NRA

The same robo call twice in three weeks. Apparently the United Nations is knocking on our doors and taking all of our guns away. I mean I don't own any guns but my 83 year old dad has around 20 rifles, shotguns and pistols.. No wonder my Dad stopped his NRA membership 10 years ago..

Put your number on the no call list. If you dad ever wants to part with his collection, I know a guy (me) who is always interested

it's insane the NRA gets away with the stuff it does.

it's not even good for gun ownership; it basically exists to lobby for republican candidates and increase firearm and ammo sales.

when that libertarian guy challenged the DC handgun ban a few years ago, the NRA initially OPPOSED him, and tried to buy him off... the fact that the DC handgun ban existed was huge source of lobbying revenue for them, and they were not happy it was declared unconstitutional.

Some guy on the ESPN board has been trolling the main board basically saying the same thing about how the UN wants to take away our guns.

I think they're all riled up because they're trying to get a universal ban on assault weapons with high mag capacities and semi-auto capabilities....something like that. It will never get passes so I'm not sure why they're all stirred up.

It's funny to me how touchy of a subject gun ownership is.

that fact that it will never pass, and that under Obama gun ownership, and rights to carry have actually expanded, does not matter to the people who believe this stuff because they are just too fucking stupid. Obama himself signed the bill to allow possession of firearms in national parks.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, and a right to vote, and bla bla bla, and you're supposed to treat every point of view with respect, no matter how absurd or insane it may be, but people like this are just dumb and should go live in caves.
