It's time for Rick to step up and win 16-18 games... time for him to pitch inside like he means it... Man I am so jacked up for baseball season.. Once again Mr I. comes through again..

He needs to get his slider consistently.

When his slider is hard and tight it's a swing and miss pitch, and that coupled with his sinker makes him a solid #3, but he just can't ever consistently keep it.

That, and his stamina is beyond pathetic.

The velocity on his fastball falls off considerably once he reaches the 75 pitch plateau.

I agree with you... Lets hope learning on the fly instead of at Toledo pays off soon.. Like in 2012... KC pointed out something a while back to me when Rick was coming up... In high school he was more of a power pitcher.. Does anyone know why the Tigers wanted him to dial it down a tad or is 90-93 his ceiling..

He is much better when he jams people inside with the sinker then go outside with a low slider. I think he can make the next big step this year. The best part about the Prince signing is that we just got a premium bat without losing any prospects.

I dont know if its stamina or just pitch familiarity....but he needs to be more consistent. The 4 great innings then getting shelled for 3-5 runs in the 5th every game gets old.

Yes one or two more minor tweak's but even without those we could hang with Texas... I am very excited..

This is Rick's year where we all say we are glad we hung on to him..

Just someone that hits like .270 and walks more than once a month. Getting someone like Peter Bourjos would be great because of the speed and defense he brings but I'm not sure what the Angels would want for him. Maybe Crosby and Brantley?

Great picture. I remember after that game when Mike Greenburg was saying how Youkilis got the best of Porcello. I think Youk had at least 30# on him at that time.

He does need to get more aggressive with his pitches. I would love to see him become the stud pitcher we all want to see him become

I sure hope you're right.
