Ihedigbi News

Yeah possibly. Cheen likes him so that's good enough for me. Can't imagine he cost much..I'd still love Ha Ha.

I feel much better filling that hole. Ihedigbo isn't going to be the secondary's Savior, but he's a quality starter, good in run support but not a total liability in coverage. Hopefully HAHA or Pryor are still on the table, but I think this may push saftey into the later rounds. Dixon has been on Hughes radar for awhile, that's a likely target in rounds 3-4.

He's better than Delmas. He's actually a smarter version of Delmas. High motor, hitter, plays the run better IMO, not the best in coverage and needs help. The kicker for me....doesn't take dumb stupid penalties. All day ill take that...

You mean he doesn't hit someone about 30 seconds late in the head? Win.

I like that Austin is familiar with him and knows his strengths and weaknesses. The move clearly makes Quin our FS....he needs to be better in coverage this year. hopefully there no lingering injuries like he had last year.

Plus he knows the D and can be a leader by helping guys through the coaching transition, which will potentially help him in return as the true test of whether or not you know something is through teaching it to others or at least answering their questions.

101 is pretty solid too, but I would prefer a LB having the most tackles. still good to have a solid tackler behind the LBs for backup.

Got so tired of seeing Delmas come up and try to make the big hit and wiff.

Honest question, dont know if its been mentioned before.....if we signed Champ Bailey and moved him to saftey instead of Ihedigbo, would it been worth the risk. Hes open too the move and the move has been proven successful for Rod and Charles Woodson.

no cap space...If we signed Ihedigbo to a multi year deal and hes 30....im good on the overaged veterans in the secondary. time to draft a cheap developmental guy that can take over for Ihebobbleheadgbo in 2 years. Rd 2- 4 pick should go to a safety same as a 2-4 pick should go to DE depth. You sign champ you just pissed away millions on a back up safety. We don't have the cap space to have those luxories.

well ya i agree if he does no better than a back up.....i would just love to see the transition and if goes well like the woodsons id love to take advantage of it. But all in all were not in the position to take a risk like that.
