Seems to be a very hot topic once again.

Kinda got me to thinking.

Obviously the teams would like to keep their names if possible, or minimize any changes to their logos.

So what if they did something like:

Atlanta Braves change to Atlanta Bravest
- instead of a tomahawk, replace with a Fireman's Axe

Cleveland Indians change to Cleveland Engines (so name is similar...Injuns/Engines)
- unfortunately the logo needs to be completely changed

Florida State Seminoles change to Florida State Semen Holes...cuz that's what they are
- replace spear with an erect cock spraying cum
- i know this is never going to happen, but it really is the reality of that university, let's not kid ourselves

Washington Redskins change to Washington Redskins
- huh? bare with me...the Redskins I am referring to will require a change to their logo, i'm thinking along the lines of a bowl of red skin potatoes...something that inspires their team being smashed.

Yes, I know it is a serious matter and I agree there is a need for real change to these logos and mascots. Just trying to lighten up the conversation with a little humor. I'm betting Tinsel can come up with some good ones to add to this list!

Nothing wrong with Atlanta Braves, Chicago Blackhawks, KC Chiefs, or the Seminoles at all. They're represented respectfully.

The Washington Redskins logo is okay, the name is not. Cleveland Indians name is okay, logo is not. In these two cases either the name or the depiction is a racial slur.

Well the Blackhawks could easily just change logo to the bird. The chiefs could go with the navy chiefs insignia which is fairly badass, kind of a skull and crossbones type. So while their's are only slightly offensive there are some relatively easy reworks that can be done while preserving the name.

Fellow traveler and hotel guest wearing a Blackhawks t-shirt with phrase "Fear the Feather" and another fellow traveler (and coincidentally a 91-95 UM student, like me) said he saw a shirt where Nick Lidstrom is depicted laughing because he has as many Cups as do the Hawks.

I don't get it, well not all of it. The Indians/Redskins I get as offensive, but why would the Braves be offensive? Isn't being Brave a good thing? Maybe they just need to even the score, how about the Portland Pale Faces? The mascot can be a redneck in a wife beater washing down a dip with a Pabst.
