How are Inge Haters and Fans that hate Inge differ?

Talk about a slanted poll.

Where is dumb opposing pitchers? Or quality of pitchers he is going Lou Gehrig on?

HRs with OAK

1 = Matt Moore (L) at TBR
2 = Fransico Cordero (R) at OAK
3 = Collin Balester (R) at OAK
4 = Duane Below (L) at OAK

His 5th HR has come off of Danny Duffy (L) at KCR.

Good point. Call me when he hits one off JV, Peavy, Weaver or even CJ Wilson. Forgettaboutit...cuz he won't.

I don't live in Detroit, so I'm not exposed to Detroit media...so I don't really get the Inge hating...I sort of discern that Inge is a little arrogant for a career lifetime .220 or .230 hitter, or whatever he is...

Inge was with the Tigers with the dark, dark days, and even though his batting stats ain't great, my recollections of Inge are of him getting hot at the right time, or hitting a game winning jack or two.

So I don't really get the Inge hating.

I don't know who Gehrig hit what he hit against in a 5 game stretch 70 or so years ago...although I'm pretty sure it wasn't against Peavey or Verlander.

He's worth hating. He is an egotistic baboon who is an excuse maker, big time.

You'd get it if you lived around here and saw all the press he's gotten. He's always been delusional and outspoken. He bitched when we traded for Pudge, for Miggy, and for Fielder. He's a below average major leaguer who got TONS of rope and praise here, and he still acts like he's owed something.

OK.

Well, he's gone, and he just did something that nobody but Lou Gehrig ever did.

But that said...he's gotten hot before.

As I quote Denny McClain from a couple of years ago, at the end of a season when Inge got off to a great start early in the season, in a rare chance I had to listen to Detroit media on the internet, "as I said at the beginning of the season, Brandon Inge will be hitting .230 at the end of the season."

And it's probably gonna be the same this season.

Unlikely anybody will be comparing Brandon Inge of the Oakland Athletics with Lou Gehrig at the end of this season.

Exactly. He is what he is, and that's a .230 hitter. In his mind though, he'll equate this "accomplishment" as somehow being on par with Gehrig. The guy is delusional. He just thinks he's way better than he is and isn't afraid to say that when they stick a mic in his face.

Funny thing is while watching this series so far, the announcers from Oakland (don't know who they are) said that they talked to Inge and he said, and i quote, "i'm just glad i'm getting an opportunity, it's all i asked for". That shit right there is beyond comical. What the fuck was he doing with the Tigers all these years? He's beyond delusional now.....

Notice that he is not in the starting lineup against Verlander.

Why would he? Verly would sit him down 3-4 times with ease.

This putz (Inge) is already a fan favorite in Oakland. It's like a fn disease with this guy.

How true tb. Thing is, let's see just how crazy in love they are at the end of the season. Then again, Oakland-SF-Nor Cal is a tad different from the motor city and - who knows - with all the dopers there the dude just might fit in...a sort of Big Lebowski character that everybody thinks is oh so cool. Not like the A's are going anywhere with Texas in the same division.

Inge should always be mindful of the organization he played for. It was terrible when he joined it and that's how he got his opportunity to play MLB. When he was replaced by better players, he was not humble enough to think of the team first. He had the fan base cheering for him last season when he was sent to Toledo and his arrogance and delusion about his performance alienated that fan base that embraced him less than a year ago. Notice that he went to an organization that settles for middling players and hopes they over achieve.
