Is anyone going to the Rose Bowl?

We have 4 flights booked without the chance for cancellation (Priceline but didn't get the insurance feature) but cannot find any tickets whatsoever that are not outrageously priced. I put in for a student ticket, I will see the result tonight. I read this is the most expensive Rose Bowl ever, this may turn out horribly.

I put in for tickets through thr Spartan fund. Flights suck, I might fly to las vegas and drive. I might not go, still up in the air

I am going if I have to walk from New Jersey to Pasadena. Trying to get my miles back as flights are outrageous right now - dollar rent a car didn't post miles to my acct on time and 200k miles expired a month ago. If they're not back in time, I'll pay the 3x normal airfare, but I'm going. I also put in for tix through the spartan fund and am asking a "friend" whose brother-in-law is on the Pasadena city council. He hooked me up for the last UofM RB but I kinda lost touch with him. Fingers crossed...

I'll be back home from the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on the 29th, and plan to celebrate New Years' Eve here.

I can send the Gulfstream back out west to Vegas if you want to borrow it.

sharing a gulfstream? you sound like a socialist. get your own damn plane

Me and a few friends had tickets to the OSU / ND Fiesta bowl years back. We decided to go to Vegas for a few days first then we were going to drive to AZ for the game. Long story short....we never left Vegas and ended up watching the game in the Sports Book. Hopefully you have a little more self control than we did!

I was offering to share my own damn plane with you, but consider the offer revoked.

i actually thought that would be your response to me, to get my own damn plane. at least you're not mingling with the plebeians at the airport

had to settle for first class, sorry. thank god for delta miles, coach was $1500 round trip, damn that's a lot

Dude, since you're gonna be out this way at that time anyway, why not meet up with us all at the Wild Wings Bowl too?

You two, SpartanNash, even if you're walking from New Jersey (and here all along I thought you were a true New Yorker...)

Oh, looks like I got SpartanMack and SpartanNash mixed up.

So you three, SpartanMack (but New York, my ass, still).

The battle of 7th place teams is tempting, too bad we can't leave the kids with the in laws that long. Mini sbee 1&2 are a handful

My sister and I got student section tickets, we're flying out there with the family on the 30th and coming back the 3rd at 12am. Parents don't have tix though, they won't spend that much for a ticket and I don't blame them, maybe they can get one scalped for cheap.

Are you board Sparties gonna have some kind of get together out here?

Thanks for the look tinsel but it's going to be a quick out and back for me - Mrs Spartanmack is 8 months prego and will be on her own with our 4 and 2.5 year old while I'm in Pasadena - based on the look i got when i told her i was going to the Rose Bowl, there is ZERO chance that gets greenlighted.

Although i lived in the City for 10 years, i would never consider myself a true NYer. I'm from Detroit and will always be from Detroit! We moved to the Jersey suburbs bc we didnt want to raise our kids in an apartment or pay $30k a year tuition starting with preschool.

Sbee, Ill be staying in LA at my Wolverine brother's and meeting up w/ 2 of my Spartan siblings and other college buddies at the game. Not sure about tailgating plans but will let you know if we come up with anything interesting.

I think we're doing the msu alumni association tailgate. You have to sign up online, $85 for food and drink. Lots of people going to that, good meeting spot

Ill be there with my wife. Look for the 5'11 blonde who's also 8 months pregnant and ask her if she's mrs sbee. Shes a trooper
