Can't remember the last time I was looking forward to a game this much. Maybe the Monday night game against Chicago in '11....but that's about it.

Should be a great game. Looking forward to see how we attack an ari defense that has a good pass rush backed by a great secondary. Bad news is they're showing sd oak here in san diego so im stuck with internet feed :/

Ummmmmmm........Arizona is....

27th in Sacks with 14 (good pass rush?)
30th in Pass yards allowed at 274 (great secondary?)

Though they are 7th in passer rating against at 81.3.

They have great individual talent in the secondary.....but have played poorly overall.

Comming off a game where cromartie and peterson were targeted 7 times....for a whopping 6 yards. Throw in honey badger....they are more than capable in the secondary.

With that being said they also have confidence in matching up 1 v 1....staff will need to recognize that and take advantage of it.

I think Stafford, Megatron and Tate might......just might......pose a better challenge.

What's funny is you sound exactly like LKP sticking up for Houston, Slay and Delmas last year, even though the numbers showed how bad they were.

Arizona has one of the better defenses in the league, especially against the run. It's going to force Stafford to have a good game if we're going to win. I'm very interested to see the Megatron vs. Peterson matchup 1v1

are you trying to compare peterson and cromartie to slay and Houston? cause im pretty sure they never had a game where they had 6 yards go against them combined in a game. Either youre being dumb.....or youre being really dumb. And why would you assume our offense would pose a better challenge?...because were 23rd in total offense instead of 30th? whippidy doo....

if 9 games is enough for everyone to crown the defense the best defense in the nfl.....then 9 games is enough to crown the offense exactly what it is....the 23rd best offense in the league. not sure how many teams are shakin in their cleats over that. Especially Peterson who completely shut down Dez a couple weeks ago and completely shut down stl last week. Cromartie who has had 3 picks in the last couple weeks.

Please show me where I compared the talents of Peterson and Cromartie to Slay and Houston. I didn't. What I did compare is how you are defending a "great" secondary in Arizona this year when the numbers simply don't back it up.......to LKP and his defense of the Lions secondary last year......when the numbers didn't back it up.

Try to keep up. Maybe use your helmet next time.

The numbers did back up solid play. But there were some injuries to Houston, Quin and Bentley last year. Slay, Mathis and Quin staying healthy this year finally and it's showing how talented they are.

Peterson, Cromartie and Mahtieu is a good secondary. Pass YPG don't back it up, but other numbers do comp %, ints, YPA.

Their pass rush is not that good though other than Campbell. Their run offense sucks too. Stanton sucks. Arizona is very very beatable.

The Cardinals are the 30th ranked team against the pass and the Lions are the 9th ranked team in the league passing.

It's a better secondary than you think, just like Detroit's was better than you think last year despite the YPG.

Love the Peterson vs. Megatron matchup!

Peterson is quicker and has better acceleration than CJ does......but Calvin is the best in the league, IMO, in getting off the line and into his route.

What I really like is the Tate vs. Cromartie matchup. Cromartie can cover, but if Tate gets his hands on the ball he is a better after the catch than AC is a tackler.....I can see Golden breaking a long YAC play.

I think we see a number of quick screens to Tate, underneath stuff. Maybe even some Ebron!!!! They will try to limit the intermediate/deep routes to lessen the chance of Staff throwing a pick.

I agree that this game is certainly winnable. I would actually be quite upset if the Lions were to lose. The Lions need to keep making steps forward in their culture change, and a win on the road in a place where they never ever win would be a step in that direction. The Lions need to have the mindset that many of the posters here keep using "screw the past this is 2014 and we're going to beat you today." It would help change the perception of Stafford that he can't beat good teams as well.

I can't see Stanton having a good day against our pass rush..I just can't. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and be totally fired up to play his former team, but it's hard to imagine for me. The Lions just need to avoid stupid mistakes, and they will have a good chance.

agreed, they are ballhawks and we should take advantage of their aggressiveness. they used to rely on their dline getting there in time but injuries have slowed them.
