Jaws on Staff....qb ranking

Rivers is playing out of his mind this year but of course you dont see it. Why would you?

The added input you have is outstanding. Its almost like you weren't born in America, oh wait..

:hehe:

Actually, buddy, i was born in America. My Mom is from Redford twnship....lol. My parents moved to Buffalo and i was born in Kenmore NY. A shot at my Canadian status? Weak and the sign that you have NOTHING else...lol. Bravo!!

And you want input? Tell us again how Bell isnt trustworthy or Rivers is no good this year.

Rivers will find a way to fuck it up. Probably my least favorite qb outside of Cuntler.

Game looked earily similar to last year....trying to establish the run 1 yard at a time, offense does nothing for 3 qtrs vs a bad defense, late garbage time score. Thats why staff isn't a top 10 qb.

Rivers is so good that he lost to the Raiders. With 3 INT. Yards mean nothing when you're getting your ass kicked..

Two of those INT's were in the final minutes of a game with the Chargers down by 10, needing a quick strike and to get the ball back.

Rivers was forced to make something happen, and had to take deep strikes.

The Oakland D made something happen instead.

Tony is right, Rivers found the fountain of middle age and is looking extremely good this season.

I quote, okay I'll ad-lib quote here "If it wasn't for Manning, we'd be talking MVP". Rivers is a fine QB but certainly no MVP candidate. I watched much of the game and Rivers didn't make much happen..

Prior to last week he was. ..it wasn't just yards lol. It was tds to int ratio...obviously this week things change. At one point you probably thought denard robinson was a heisman candidate... look how that turned out.

I also thought even last week, he wasn't 2nd behind Manning as MVP. I used to be a huge Rivers fan but I've seen him do stretches of underwhelming play so I sort of expected the same..

I know you need more than a QB but he seems to have eradicate play now and again..I look at him as a plus 1 on Tony Romo, "can they win with him at QB."

My QB list.
Top Performers
P. Manning
T. Brady
Just shy of the best
A. Rodgers
D. Brees
Ability to be elite (any given Sunday) Lacks consistency
Stafford
Cuntler
Rivers
Romo
Ryan
E. Manning

My 2 young guns
Tannehill
A. Luck

Overrated by Media
Kaepernick
Griffin
Wilson
Palmer
Schaub

I know not everyone is listed but some of these teams are stuck with crap behind center. Not mentioned was Locker who I think has good potential but can't stay healthy.

I like Tannehill and Luck as my young guns because I think more than Kaep, Griffin, and Wilson they haven't generally put their teams in bad spots. Palmer and Schaub are older but continue to play mediocre ball on teams with plenty of weapons. Schaub cost his team a win 2 weeks ago and didnt even show up this week.

Roethlisberger isnt listed because he is a shell of who he used to be and I hate watching him now. That team stinks but he isnt helping himself or the team.

Stafford, Cuntler, Romo, Rivers and Ryan are all on par for me. I think they all have the ability to shoulder the team to victory but then they do things that make you wonder if they are actually good or just get lucky sometimes. Stafford and Cuntler have tremendous arm talent but then they make some throws that are both STUPID and POOR. Stafford has improved in that area this season but at times I miss the gunslinger because the offense has been stagnant a few times. Rivers has played well but then he has the Cuntler syndrome where he pisses teammates off. I think he shows brilliance at times but then looks mediocre at other times. Inconsistency plagues him. Ryan is a good game manager but I dont see him as the guy that goes out and wins you a game with it on the line. Same can be said for Romo, for all the great things he can do he does something so moronic it negates the whole thing. Manning hasn't been the biggest problem this season but hasn't played well in a while. He makes some amazing plays but with the wr's he has he should be doing more.

I still put Brady up with Manning because he is still playing well with a bunch of scrubs at all of his positions. Manning has a tremendous set of 4 receivers that all played well even with Tebow. That new TE he has is obviously benefiting from lax coverage and the best qb in the game today. The guy is superhuman at reading defenses and putting guys in the right routes. Brady has never had that kind of accompaniment of receivers but I think you would see something similar for him. Look what he did when he had Moss. The rest of the NFL just has some terrible qb talent. I know many of them are young (Manuel and G. Smith) but I dont see the elite label coming out anytime soon.

I left Newton off this list because I think he is and was incredibly overhyped and hasnt done much since year 1.

Rivers has been lights out this year...wtf are you talking about? Like Ink said, he needed to make things happen late in the game. He failed but that doesn't mean he's not having a great year so far...cmon get your fn head out of your ass, bud.

Why even bother, some people just see the ugly in life.

its more than that though. i know i throw the word 'clueless' around a lot but in this case, Mitch takes the cake. That, or he's just that opposite guy of what everyone says. i know a few of those guys, it makes you want to run your head through a wall.
