Jeb

Not bad. Did he say he was not interested in being VP? Maybe that's why he's free to say this kind of stuff.

I don't think he'd be Romney's VP. I think he's connected enough to know that the smart money is on Obama, and he shouldn't risk tarnishing his political image by being on a losing campaign, constantly pandering to the Birther retards on the Right.

I think Jeb's laying the groundwork for 2016. By all accounts, he was more hard-working and humble than his "hard-partying jackass" older brother. Too bad he didn't become president in 2000, instead of GWB. He can sit this one out, position himself more to the center, knowing that in 2016, without a reasonably popular centrist incumbent Democrat in the WH, he won't have to appeal solely to the most extreme elements on the right to have a shot, like the chumps gunning for the GOP nomination this year had to.

the question is: did GWB permanently ruin his family's name in national politics among enough voters that no Bush would ever have a shot again?

EDIT: Jeb made the news for similar comments a week or two ago, and everyone said "Oh, what a great guy!" Or maybe this is the same thing, just re-hashed. either way you know there is some other political forces at work here...

Could be. It's all Obama's fault. It was supposed to be Hilary this time around, two terms, then Jeb two terms, then Chelsea, then one of the Bush twins (with the other as VP).

sounds about right. democracy in name only.

Really? This is Americuh.

there are retards out there who already think of 2000-2008 as "the good old days."

back then, the 0% teaser rates on their no money down ARMs were still in place and hadn't yet kicked up to 15%+, and they just used all that money from their 2nd/3rd mortgage to buy the H2 (FREEDOM!), take that trip to Disney World, start the Home Ministry company they always dreamed of, etc.

It wasn't much later that they had to pay the piper... at which time, they blamed "Big Government" and the imaginary "high taxes" for having to file bankruptcy.

like these Tea Partier Retards...

Exactly.

No, dumbfuck ... MC is making fun of the Tea Party Retards who had to declare bankruptcy, not blaming it for the housing collapse.

The Tea Party wasn't the cause of the housing collapse, it rose in the aftermath as a way for angry white people to assign blame and mitigate and sense of responsibility for doing precisely what is described in Post #7.
