Michigan remembers and celebrates its history. I don't follow the pros enough to compare, but if you can coach a team to victory, and you want your legacy to be remembered, Michigan is a pretty attractive place to be.
This is true. Look at what Jim has accomplished at SF. Took a loser and made it into a playoff team. Yet, the management and fans are after his head. That is the way the pros are. If he comes to Michigan and has a similar record of achievement, then he will be considered a legendary coach on par with Bo, Woody, Bryant, etc. What more could a coach ask for?
