Jhonny Peralta future?

The other main memory was during the 0-16 season. I had become used to the ridiculous "are you a member of the Nazi party" type questions you get at immigration when entering the US. When he asked why I was entering the US I casually said "to watch the Detroit Lions". He responded: "don't give me that bullshit son".

I then panicked, as he was about a foot taller than me with some automatic weapon. I asked what he meant.

"Nobody comes 4000 miles to watch the Detroit fucking Lions"

I said "but I have" and unveiled a Mike Williams jersey I was wearing.

He put his arm round me. "God bless you, son" and pointed me through.

They lost of course.

Jhonny Peralta: "In spring of 2012, I made a terrible mistake that I deeply regret. I apologize to everyone that I hurt as a result of my mistake, including my teammates, the Tigers' organization, the great fans in Detroit, Major League Baseball, and my family. I take full responsibility for my actions, have no excuses for my lapse in judgment and I accept my suspension. I love the fans, my teammates and this organization, and my greatest punishment is knowing that I have let so many good people down. I promise to do everything possible to try and earn back the respect that I have lost."

Detroit Tigers: "We recognize the suspension of Jhonny Peralta for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program as a measure taken in the best interest of the game," the statement read. "The Detroit Tigers continue to fully support Major League Baseball's policy and its efforts to eliminate performance enhancing drugs from our game. Per the protocol outlined by Major League Baseball's collective bargaining agreement, the Tigers' organization will provide no further comment on Peralta's suspension."

Freakin' awesome.

That's a pretty damning statement on his supposed innocence.

Like I said a few days ago, they all lie. His name was not on a list by accident or he really just want Tylenol.

Did I miss the part where he said he took PED's? We still have no clue what he is suspended for, or what "mistake" he made.

Oh come on. He said he made a mistake in 2012 and apologized. I apologized for my name being connect by accident :hehe:

Yeah, you're right. Maybe he stole some girl scout cookies.

Lol.

Thank you DD for getting us a SS.

It's obvious the teams knew about this before the trade deadline. DD pulled off a great move considering. I mean, wow, Garcia and Villareal for the #1 defensive SS prospect in baseball who is hitting .330 this year? Man, DD comes through again.

Perralta should have kept his mouth shut before, he denied this and now looks like a liar. Hope Iglesius tears it up and we never look back.

Very disappointing Jhonny. I appreciate his statement, and at least he didn't offer up any excuses like so many others have done. I hope he can come back with another organization and still play some solid clean baseball. I would not want him back for the playoffs personally.

Oh btw, I didn't see Braun confess or anyone else for that matter. THEY MUST ALL BE INNOCENT. Damnit Selig. DAMNIT.

If I had never taken them but got involved with this clinic to inquire about getting them, then my apology would include a statement like that. He actually took something.

Awful lot of assumption. The facts will be out soon, we'll see. Maybe he did, maybe he did something else that was in violation the the policy.

We will see when it somes out. But I'll even go further with my assumptions. Every guy on that list received a suspension because there is proof they actually bought and were given the product. No one received a suspension just for making a call.

KC posted this: Not sure where he got or read wrong but:

Jhonny said he made a mistake in St 2012 and has regretted taking it. Sounded as if it was a one time thing. maybe, maybe not.
