Anyone else notice that the Saints can't seem to move the ball all the sudden. Same basic cast on offense, putting up nothing.

At the same time, the Lions offense has looked more capable than I have seen it in a long time, even without Calvin.

I'm not big on false equivalencies, but maybe Lombardi has something significant to do with all this?

Took AP for my first pick in one league also, haven't dropped him yet either cuz running backs are always so thin in these damn fantasy leagues there isn't anything on the wire to bother with it, but..ha got killed with the bye week as well started cusions over Rodgers, had both defenses on bye and still won! Largely thanks to Steve smith and my opponent blowing some serious dead goat this week . Bahahahahahahahah poor chumps

Oh and Lombardi, yes no complaints thus far don't miss Linehan at all although he seems to be doing ok in Dallas, also happy with defensive coordinator thus far as well

Well let's not get carried away..Dallas is humming to on offense and they have the ex lion coordinator helping in some capacity. ... I think he is call offensive passing coordinator lol.

Linehan seems to have straightened out Romo but couldn't do the same for Stafford. Hmm, curious. Some guys just don't gel I guess...

Romo isn't doing that different than normal in his career. Defense and running game are playing for him now. Last year through the first 5 games romo had over a 70% comp percentage. And 13 tds and 2 picks. Their record? 2-3 lol. Dallas has the number 1 run team right now.

I wish Lombardi were a bit more aggressive. That said, he has had some really good play calls each week. That naked bootleg run to seal it yesterday was PHENOMENAL! He seems to find ways to single up CJ and Tate when the defense dictates it can be done, that alone is tough to do.

Screen game has been awful.....we were better last year.

The three 3 and outs were concerning but without Bell you could see. He adjusted well with that last drive.

After the game, Stafford said he decided to do the bootleg. He said the play is the only one in the book where he is allowed to make that decision.

So on the one hand, props to Lombardi for allowing Stafford the option on that play, and props to Stafford for making the correct decision.

Now they need to add another play into the book where Staff is allowed to bootleg, otherwise Ds will recognize and shut that "one play" down going forward.

Lombardi called a great game right up until he took his foot off the gas after the 2 turnovers. I prefer staying with what is working instead of going more conservative. Thankfully it didn't cost them this game, but that needs to be changed. Wait until up 4 TDs in the 4th quarter before going into conservative mode. Same goes with the D.

There was just no run game and it's a time where you have to run up 24-10. He did throw twice on the second 4th Quarter 3 and out drive.

Should have converted 3rd and 1 on last 3 and out drive. Probably would with Bell playing.

Are we looking at moving Winn up from the PS or looking outside the organization if they cant go

I would hope Winn. Really liked the way he ran in preseason. Has to take care of the ball a little better, but is a hard nosed, north south runner with good vision.

Agreed it should be Winn and cut Owens if he can't stay healthy.
