He's probably doing it to try and show the Browns he is cleaning up his act and taking it seriously. But that's what I think this is...an act. They'll be photos of him partying a week after he gets out.

I could not agree with this more. We'll see, I guess. I think it's an act by the people around him to get some sympathy and show the Browns and his fans that he is serious. He just agreed with the idea.
You voluntarily go into rehab to STOP drinking. Not lighten up, or slow down.....or learn how to control it. You go to rehab to learn to live life WITHOUT the alcohol or drug that has become the problem. If you go for any other, non court appointed reason, it's just for show.
I think manchild is right......he'll be out partying within a year......which would make his stint in rehab nothing but a circus side show.
NFL agent handbook 101 -- player flops, go to rehab to try to win back team management and fans. Another year of nice commissions for the agent and Johnny College Football gets another year, too. Count me on the side which never sees this ending well...for Manziel or the Browns.

IMO, this is a huuuuuuge PR move. Gordon completely fucks up. Manziel is a fuck up, but supposed to be the future. I guarantee you he was forced into rehab from the bosses to save face somewhat. It has to be!! lol. Someone in that shitshow organization has to pretend to care and Manziel is the guniea pig
