Just heard on KABC Radio AM 790 Los Angeles. per the AP.

I'll post a link when I find one; meanwhile anybody else can as well.

Basically sounds like the judge found the punishment unfair and to severe. Not that Brady was innocent.

Oh no!! lol. Of course not!! He was guilty....that's why he got NOTHING. If he would have thought he was even a little bit guilty he would have cut it in half. But he didn't.....he thinks he's innocent.

Not ripping on you btw..lol. Ripping on the judge

Perhaps, I am no lawyer and spent a total of maybe 5 minuets reading the 40 pages regarding his decision, but to me it looked like the judge was ripping the NFL for overreaching with the suspension and stating Brady didn't have knowledge that he could be suspended for this.

Edit:
Judge Richard M. Berman of Federal District Court in Manhattan did not rule on whether Brady tampered with the footballs in a bid for competitive advantage. Instead, he focused on the narrower question of whether the collective bargaining agreement between the N.F.L. and the players union gave Goodell the authority to carry out the suspension. Judge Berman ruled that it did not.

He found the N.F.L. did not give Brady adequate notice of the potential penalty for the misconduct he was accused of and it had been denied sufficient access to the N.F.L.’s investigative files.

He should be suspended 1 game if it were up to me. But this is the most annoying sports story I can remember in years and just want it ended so I really don't care about what the punishment was. I am glad however to see Goodell and the rest of his NFL cronies look like idiots out of this ordeal.

judge couldn't do that though. He could only rule on 4 games or 0 games because the 2 sides declined to work out a deal. 0 games is correct in my opinion going off the severity of the crime. You could kill someone and get 4 games lol. They wanted to give 4 games for an equipment violation???? Goodell effed up bad when he kept it at 4 games after he arbitrated the meeting last month....that was a big mistake. Ps....Indy commited the same equipment violation. Where was their investigation? Where was their suspension? Where was their fine? You talk about protecting the shield....but youre doing it unfairly and not consistently.

I meant if I were the commissioner I would have taken Brady's request to reduce it to 1 game no questions asked. And I never would have made it a 4 game suspension to begin with. He deserves to lose his job for the umpteenth time.

4 games was the equivalent to a baseball steroid punishment for a pitcher MAYBE knowing he was throwing a doctored baseball.
