Great..

Did they bring on any new guards or tackles?

Well then it won't make a lickshit bitda difference now will it.

Hey they signed Lenard Davis to, damit you guys didn't tell me that, this is good!!

BestIsBest[/color]]I really wish they would just give K.Williams the rock 20 times one game and just see what he could do. I swear I think he could be a monster if they actually started him.

I get the same feeling. He needs to run between the tackles though. Seems like he tries to bounce the run outside too often.

I think it is pretty irrelevent. Even if Best remains out for the rest of the season I would not expect to see Smith getting many touches. We do not even know how good of shape he is in. Can his knee hold up? I could be wrong but I just think that K. Williams and M. Morris will remain the top 2 RBs.

dont be so sure of that...

Kevin Smith - RB - Lions

The Lions weren't planning to sign Kevin Smith after working out 25 players during the bye week, but did so because he looked too good to pass up.
"Kevin looked so good," said coach Jim Schwartz. "Ran well, moved well; (he) was in great shape. (He's) been a productive player for us when he's been on the field and I think one of the silver linings in this was (the time off) gave his body time to heal." Smith took the third-team reps in Tuesday's practice, as expected. Schwartz's comments suggest he could move up the depth chart if Jahvid Best (concussion) misses several more weeks.

Schwartz was pretty impressed with Smith's workout. I heard his little interview this afternoon with Karsch and Anderson and he kept saying how great of shape Smith was in. He wouldn't speculate on how often he'd see the field, saying that it would depend on the game and the situations, but that knowing the system wouldn't hurt him.

So we'll see.

I'd expect to see lots of the same - Mo taking the Lion's share of the carries with Keiland getting in there for situational downs, and to wind Mo.

Wow...That is pretty interesting. If our new front office thinks that they may see something then so be it. I will still be surprised if he gets much of a sniff of first string although it looks a little more likely after reading that and I am starting to think that we may not see Best for the rest of the season...

There are worse running backs out there. I just hope he has a good seamstress. I don't think I can stand to see his bare ass again...

schwartz publicly admitted that he jerked off to tapes of Best before the draft....look how that turned out. Ill pass on going off his reaction to any RBs performance.

why ? he drafted Best..and traded up to get him...obviously the jerk session was legit.

Carolina is also horrid against the run. But Smith sure looks decisive out there. I hope he is the solution to our running woes.
