Kushner gets his security clearance back

How is that possible? He's been openly using his office to pander for cash from foreign governments, right?

And now they have established a precedent where nobody can be denied a clearance for omissions on their SF-86 without getting multiple chances to ‘rectify’ the error(s).

Which essentially makes the clearance process meaningless and nothing more than kabuki theater.

They might as well open up every job to spies and double spies. Because they just fucking did that.

this surprises you? do you not recall that not too long ago we had a Secretary of State who openly used her cabinet level position to pander for cash from foreign governments?

The WHITE HOUSE -- not Intell Community -- gave it to him. This is insanely authoritarian and completely fucked up.

from the article.

"But it's certainly reasonable to believe if there were a significant criminal problem, the special counsel's office would have given the intelligence community a heads-up to withhold the favorable adjudication." said national security attorney Mark Zaid

sounds like the White House selects people for the clearance but the intel community makes the ultimate decision.
