KVB released

Had to be done. Hopefully hes back for motivational purposes. Corey Williams should be the next thread....then burleson.
We might be hard pressed to field a full roster this year at the rate we're gonna have to cut guys. It needs to be done, but we're gonna be screwed without a couple consecutive homerun drafts.

Saving some money but guys still have to be signed, Delmas and Houston to name two so we're still in cap hell.

I'd resign Houston, but I'd probably have to let Delmas walk... or more likely use a wheelchair. I'd say bye bye to Dom, Backus, Goz, Avril, and a few more too.

KVB stays classy until the end:

Defensive lineman Kyle Vanden Bosch on being released by the Lions, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press: "I had a good opportunity to talk to everybody and kind of said my good-byes. It was OK. I understood the decision. From the first day I was with the Lions, I was treated with nothing but respect by starting with the Ford family and then my coaches and my teammates. I knew if I’m finished playing football, I always prepared and played as hard as I could so that when I would be finished I had no regrets. And if I don't get an opportunity to play again in the NFL, I'm very happy about my career, my years in Detroit and really just the relationships that I developed."

And that's how you do it.

That's awesome. Dammit, why can't we have a guy entering his prime like that?
We need dudes like him on the upside of their careers now. I'm glad he was (at least) a good example to the guys.
