mine would involve moving up to grab Barron.

If Barron falls to Philly.......

trade C. Williams, 4th round pick and the 23rd pick to Philly for the 15th pick(Barron) and A. Samuel.

In a Samuel re-structure, it's pretty much could be a wash in cap space. Adds 2 major needs in a starting SS-Barron and CB-Samuel.

Philly gets a major need in a DT and only drops 8 spots

You are smoking something really strong if you think the Eagles would take that

considering they're hoping for a 6th for Samuel, and moving 8 spots is worth a top of the 3rd round pick...its in the ballpark

Corey Williams and his $5 million salary have no value.

You're saying Corey Williams + 4th = High 3rd + 6th? No way

Anyways, doubt Barron will even be there at this point. Looks like the Chargers wanna jump Dallas for him.

I think there'll be a great chance to trade back. There are 3 players I could see a team trading up for: Dontari Poe (if he slides), Dont'a Hightower, and Shea Mcclellin. Many of the teams picking behind us would look at those guys, so I could see something happening there.

Over Cullen Jenkins or Mike Patterson? Which Corey Williams did you watch last year?

The Cullen Jackson who played so bad he had to re-structure his deal that was signed 7 months prior or the Mike Patterson who was out with brain surgery?

Eagles agreed to a restructured contract with DT Cullen Jenkins.
Details are unavailable, but Jenkins was due a $5 million roster bonus on March 13, which on top of his $2.75 million base salary would have given him a prohibitive 2012 cap number of $7.75 million. Essentially playing on a one-year deal last season since the "five-year, $30 million" pact he signed in July was not guaranteed beyond 2011 and didn't include a signing bonus, Jenkins performed well, notching 40 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

Jenkins restructured to give them room...he went to minimums and took roster bonuses.

Patterson is fine and ready to go for camp. The Eagles have 3 strong DTs and are looking for nothing more then a 4th DT for rotational purposes...Corey Williams would not start for the Eagles...he'd be what he is here a 4th DT.

They have few picks and little cap room. Once they talk to Samuel and learn what his $$$ demands are, they'll drop out like everyone else. The Eagles won't get anything for him IMO.
