The Lions premier running back will miss most of the season, if not all of it.

Guy had a lot of miles on him and some injuring problems in college. No surprise. Sucks though.

Def a shame an you gotta feel for the guy , however i actually like and feel ok about using Ty an McKissic .

Trade for Drake or bring up Perkins and let Ty Johnson and JD get the bulk of the snaps and i GUESS see how that goes...

I'd rather see the Lions sign one of the many free agents out there rather than trade for one sitting at 2-3-1.

Doug Martin, Thomas Rawls, Jeremy Hill, or Jay Ajayi to name a few.

He's a bum with a bum knee...

Behind a more putrid offensive line than the Lions. Had 1200 yards rushing last year and doesn't limp after every single carry. Kerryon can no longer be looked at as a starting rb. 5-10 touches per game or his arthritis acts up

Jay Ajayi healthy? Jeremy Hill sounds intriguing if he's 100%. Need a big, 220+ lb back, but no more Zenner

Can't have an injury-prone featured RB, will need to gameplan KJ as a backup when of if he returns. and until he can prove that he can stay healthy for a season. Either sign a FA or trade, then maybe find a more permanent fix next offseason if necessary.

Anybody think the Bengals would let Joe Mixon go?

I agree with Hughes that I would not be surprised we end up with Kenyan Drake from Miami for a 4th or 5th round pick.

6'1", 211 lb. back that can catch passes out of the backfield as well. He's the best option for the price, IMO.

Guys we'd have to "pay" for......(if they're even available)

Gordon
Mixon
Brieda/Coleman/Mostert.....whichever SF decides it could do without
Eckler
Royce Freeman

Other lower priced options.....again, if available

Duke Johnson
AP (10 game rental, basically)
Ronald Jones III or Peyton Barber
Devontae Booker
And yes, even Ameer Abdullah

Or, we could take the free route, sign ZZ and make him the 3rd string again.....or bring back CJ Anderson

I think Kenyan Drake makes the most sense. Good ability as both a runner and receiver, fallen out of favor for a terrible team. Still young. Wouldn't cost much.
