I don't really think this is a possibility, but dare to dream. I don't see how the money would work without Stafford restructuring.

"Several teams are already expressing interest in signing him. According to USA Today's Mike Garafolo, the Lions are one of those teams.

Someone informed of the interest from other teams since Dumervil's release said the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, and Detroit Lions all inquired about Dumervil's availability and expressed interest in talking to him in the near future. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because those conversations were to remain private."

Anyone who needs a DE is going to be interested. We could afford him if he wanted. We still have some cap room and we can drop some guys to clear more..Staff restructure is not needed here..

This would truly be to good to be true. In a way it would be like we traded Avril for Dumervil.....Get it done please just get it done.

Our D would be looking pretty good with Dumervil and a draft pick on the other end.

Our D would like pretty good with Dumervil and Jones on the other end, or Young, or Lo-Jack... or me.

If we managed to sign Dumervil (still unlikely in my mind) we should give strong consideration to Jarvis Jones at #5. Doctors now say the spinal stenosis was a mis-diagnosis (that rhymes), so imagine playing him either at DE or OLB behind that line.

While he's fallen for some reason, I am still hoping for Bjoern Werner though.

I don't why we couldn't sign him. I know the Ravens have like 20m in cap space but we could get the room with no problems if we really want to.

The Baltimore Sun reports the Steelers are interested in free agent DE Elvis Dumervil.

Reporter Aaron Wilson considers the Steelers a team to "keep an eye on." Dumervil has now been connected to the Steelers and Ravens since Friday's contract fiasco, and expressed interest in playing for the Dolphins. If the price is right, he'd restore the pass-rushing heat Pittsburgh lost when it cut James Harrison.

One thing is for sure... he won't be a Bronco next year.

For all the reports that the Broncos would like to re-sign him... he was an immediate $5M hit against their cap the moment of his release.

They wanted him at $8M a year or less, which would mean he would have to be willing to sign for $3M this year to make the math work for the team.

It's been reported he wants to go back to Denver, but that just doesn't seem possible right now unless he's willing to take an even bigger paycut. He wasn't happy at the idea of making $8M... no way he's going to be happy making less than half of that.

he can blame whoever he wants....its no ones fault but his own for waiting til the last second.

Very true amigo. He played a game of chicken, and both sides lost.

He knew two weeks ago they wanted him to take a pay cut, and he refused. If he wanted to be a Bronco so badly, he could have made this all work a lot quicker in the process.
