If we can get the offense going this schedule looks doable right?
We see a bunch a teams we should beat... Just steal a game or two
and we could get to 10 wins easy enough..

New York.......35-14
@ Carolina.......7-24
Green Bay........19-7
@ Jets
Buffalo
@Minnesota
New Orleans
@Atlanta (in London)
Miami
@Arizona
@New England
Chicago
Tampa Bay
Minnesota
@Chicago
@Green Bay

Shame we cant play the Bears sooner... Their defensive secondary may be in worse shape then ours...

Going back to the original post, there are a lot of teams that we SHOULD beat, yes. The Saints look vulnerable (they really miss Sproles), the Falcons D is shaky, Bucs and Dolphins are a mess, Minny starting a rookie QB and no AP, Bears and Packers have issues. That being said we ARE talking about the Lions. There were a lot of teams down the stretch last year that we SHOULD have beat as well.

the middle of the schedule is brutal. Really important to win the next few.

Not sure about the bears secondary, but our passing game hasn't been that great to exploit the weaknesses. Also, Marshall and Jeffrey are going to demolish our beat up secondary. I'd prefer a later matchup with them to either get our guys healthy or all of these "just off the streets" players time to progress a bit more as a unit.

Nelson and Cobb were supposed to beat up our secondary too.

Marshall and Jeffrey are different types of receivers. Totally different animal. You can't really scheme for what those two bring when they're healthy. Skill determines the winner in those match ups. It'd be nice to have our two starting safeties back to help out.

We're get a better understanding once they win a road game. Still not sold on this team not fk'ng up somewhere during the season. Like an L4.

5 of the last 7 are going to be rough....division could be up for grabs in the final 2 games and we have to travel to chi and gb...not fun. That ARI game away will be a good test....hopefully our offense gels a bit more by then cause their defense is legit.

I just may be drinking the cool aid but there really isn't a dominant team right now.. Sure there are a few that are above the rest but i see a lot of average right now.. The bears have lost more guys in the secondary then we have..I would love to be playing them this week.. Gotta figure out a way to go 3-5 on the road and 7-1 or 8-0 at home... We have to get the offense moving..

Chicago is going to be a tough, tough game. Cutler is having a career year so far (I know, only three games). But 8 tds/2 int with a 66 completion percentage.

They're where I expected them to be at this point...I think things will start to fall apart after the @Minnesota game

I would say this will be yet another standard Lions 6-2 start 2-6 finish...

But this is the (first of many) year(s) of 19-0!!!!

Yes, we know they can start 6-2. It's been done..let's see if they can finish 6-2. Next week, Imo, is gonna be tough. The Jets are no slouch.

Lions need to win some road games. That will make or break their season. Games like next week @Jets are ones they need to win. Same with @Minny and one of @Chi and @GB

The other road games are @Atlanta (in London), @Arizona, and @NE. None of those will be easy to get at all.

2013 2-6 finish
2012 0-8 finish
2011 4-4 finish

Average finish over the past 3 seasons....2-6

I would like to thing different coaching staff and different team mentality, but we will see.
As a Lions fan we have been let down quite a bit the last couple decades so we will see.

When you say the last couple of decades do you mean 5 decades?

Hey man just over 5 decades ago we won the championship. So yeah pretty much. Im only 31 so prior to the 80's i can only read about the dissapointment the team was
