Sweet! I didn't think they were seriously thinking about Ross returning kicks again this year, nor do teams put their RB in that position these days so Ameer was a stretch. They had this guy targeted, knowing he'd likely go UDFA.

In some ways it would be awesome to have this guy do so well that he starts. Just something awesome about an UDFA starting over 2 R1 guys. It would obviously suck that Lions would still have those two R1 guys, but that would be an incredible Underdog story.

Wouldn't suck for me at all. An UDFA comes in and plays so well he buries round one picks on the depth chart? Sounds like a dream come true for us. Everyone wants to find that next Tom Brady late rounder or Priest Holmes undrafted guy that goes to the Hall of Fame.

The best player plays in my book. The round they were drafted in means nothing to me.

As of today, all these guys are Lions. Not round one Lions. Not round five Lions. They are Detroit Lions. And I hope there is a ton of hidden talent in there that takes us to the Super Bowl.
