31 - 13 Lions....

big bounce back after the Bears thumping....

it's a must win now else they'll be 6-6 in a heart beat and we really don't want that, that would be really bad

I've seen this kind of gameplay by the Lions all too often over the past 40+ seasons, esp when they played the Bears and lost ugly, but it never really gets any easier to take.

I'll predict that the Lions have discovered that their sophomore-seasoned QB Stafford isn't as yet able to perform very well over the entire course of a 16 game season. They may not lose to the Panthers, and look like world-beaters in one game or for a half, then the next they will look like they should lose 16 straight ala '08.

Lions 28 Panthers 14..they will take their frustrations out on the Panthers in this game, but it likely won't be the Lions' offense who puts most of their points up.

I have no delusions about the TGD game, the Lions will be shredded by Rogers, but despite their poor pass defense, their D overall will still make Stafford look like he is punch-drunk late in the contest, b/c he is apparently tiring quickly in these games. He had the bye week to rest up and rejuvenate, but seeing his 4 picks and side-arming the football, he sure didn't look like he was refreshed, now did he???

Edit: I did not know that Stafford had an injury to his (apparently fractured) index finger, which explains the gloves, but doesn't explain WHY he was still out on the field heaving the ball when winning the game had become clearly out of reach.

Not all Matt's fault b/c the Lions' brass has largely ignored improving their O-line for far too long in the off-season, and their now patched and plugged with retreads, run game was/is decimated by injuries.

Lmao at predicting the panthers to come in to our house and beat us. Are you guys the same dudes predicting Tebow to beat us after our 2 game skid?

They've looked bad (borderline terrible) in 3 of their last 4, it's not that much of a stretch.

The way Stafford has been playing it wouldn't surprise me if he had some sort of illness. I swear these guys do the unexplainable from week to week it seems. And that unexplainable went from good to fucked up, so I don't have a prediction; I just hope they can stay the middle of the pack team that they are and find a way to squeak out a 9-7 record by the end of the season.

Just a bad game. 1 really bad game. It was fk'd, lol. But it was only one. The Panthers aren't that good. Just need to pressure Cam.

The panthers also got rocked by the Titans yesterday.

I look at them of the Lions of last year. They'll play you close, but still end up losing the game in the last quarter.

i dont give a fuck about the score...but they'll win the game

Yes. Score is immaterial. As Al Davis used to say, "Just win, baby."

They looked bad against SF and Atlanta? Those are two quality teams, and they were both really close. Especially SF. A 4th and goal, and their TE gets it by a few inches. If Carpenter takes a good angle, he's stuffed before he gets there, and the Lions win. Explain how thats "bad (borderline terrible)"? Their only bad game was against Chicago. Carolina's D is the opposite of Chicago. Lions win easily. 42-21

Staffords' performance Sunday had VERY LITTLE to do with the O-line or the run game. He was off on almost every throw.....even when he had time. His mechanics need to improve and become more consistant for the success to return. He'll get it....its only his 22nd start.
