If Carpenter takes a good angle, he's stuffed before he gets there, and the Lions win. Explain how thats "bad (borderline terrible)"? Their only bad game was against Chicago. Carolina's D is the opposite of Chicago. Lions win easily. 42-21Romneybot said:They've looked bad (borderline terrible) in 3 of their last 4, it's not that much of a stretch.
You really think those were close, hard fought games?
- Both games were at home where the crowd is supposed to be a factor
- They looked like dogshit in the first half of the Atlanta game and the last 3 quarters of the SF game
- They threw the ball way too much like usual because the running game is atrocious
- Both Atlanta and SF ran well against them (big surprise)
- Any receiver outside of CJ was pretty much non-existent
- The offense was beyond terrible in 3rd downs
- The scores may have been close, but on the field it sure didn't seem that way, the defense was pretty much the only reason the scores were close, but keep in mind the average margin of victory isn't high in the NFL
I'm not convinced at all they even played close to their potential in those games, they can't expect to hang near the top this season if they put out performances like that against "good" teams.
How anyone could think they played even remotely well in those games is beyond me.
