why the fuck was everyone so excited about ballard? the guy didn't show me anything in the preseason and i don't remember the coaches talking about him much in camp. only thing i ever heard is how big he was.

From what they say, Ballard was very raw; raw as hell but he did have a few moments early in camp. Seems like we've seen pretty much what Toone has to offer, and I don't like it. He looks hella average out there and he's short. You gotta have something exceptional about your game if you're short.

Toone seems to be one of those guys they're having a hard time letting go. I remember when he was drafted Schwartz saying something along the lines of him being a guy he didn't have a lot of knowledge of but that he was highly recommended by one one his scouts as a Welker type. I figured it was just a favor and he must have some skills. From what I've seen he is below average, but he is still around so the staff must see something in him worth developing.
