C'mon. Stay until 5:00 p.m. The phone might ring once.

my problem this is busy time for me - i will probably be in a few half days during the next week (which is normally time off)

Yeah ... I'm working today and all next week. No time off for this self-employed person.

I finished up around 2pm yesterday and won't do much if any work between now and the Sugar Bowl!

When I was living in AA my favorite times were between fall finals and the start of the winter semester. Especially if there was freshly fallen snow. Quiet and peaceful. Hardly anyone around. Work for the semester was done so the pressure had lifted. Most shops were pretty empty. You could walk in and get a booth at Drake's and have a cup of Earl Grey and a hot pecan roll without waiting. Looking forward to whatever bowl game Michigan was playing in that year. I see in the weather forcast they are predicting snow this weekend. Wish I was back there now.

I'm right there with you. Every year I say I will shut it down Next year, but here I go again. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I hear that Drake's has really good ones.

funny thing is earlier today someone mentioned drake's and cinnamon rolls also so it has ben on my mind

I'm in a Starbucks in La Jolla answering a bunch of emails from work. I have until Wednesday off, technically, but have to pay attention to some dumb shit

it's 62 and sunny here.

I realized I looked like a gloomy midwesterner in my hooded sweatshirt and plaid shirt... so I took the sweatshirt off.

my mom lives north of here, so I'm out here for a visit.

she works in downtown La Jolla, so I came to the starbucks to get a few things done. she doesn't have wifi at home.

Weren't you out in La Jolla last year about this time?

Hey Champ, it was the Solstice yesterday, or the day before - kinda almost fell right between the two days this year - did you do any Druid or Wiccah observations?

God actually gets more pissed off when you practice pagan religions than when you simply don't believe in him, you know.

yes, I was here last year. this is like the 4th year in a row I've come out here for xmas. It's a nice time to get out of the midwest... although January is when it usually gets really, really cold. it wasn't that bad in chicago when I left.

no, I didn't do any pagan observations. what a silly question.
