Divisions 6 Semifinals
Note : D6 champ from last season Jackson Lumen Christi is in d7 this year so there will be a new champ in d6 this year. Montague lost in the d6 finals last Year to JLC. M. Saint May's is a power that makes regular deep runs this time of year. Maple City also lost the 2016 D6 title to JLC and they also make deep runs. I look for Montague and saint Marys to meet again.

Division 6 championship preview enrollment in (parentheses)

Friday November 29th, 4:30 pm

Public (241) Maple city Glen Lake 12-1 vs (347) Monroe St Mary Catholic Central 11-1 Private.

The Lakers of Glen lake come in 12-1 and are 301-242-4 since 1959. they have made the playoffs 8 of the last 10 seasons. This year points for and against are 441/220 and they have 0 shutouts. Six games they have held the opponent to 7 points each. They had a miracle overtime win last week over montague 31-30. They were down 24-10 with 6 minutes left and scored tying touchdown as time expired then made the PAT. Also down in ot 30-24 they scored on 4th and 3 and made the point after for the win. They are 1-2 in title games losing the last one in 2016 to JLC. They were 1-1 in the 1990's in the DD title games.

The much bigger size school Monroe St Mary Catholic Central is 11-1 scoring 410 while allowing 178 this year. They also have 0 shutouts. Three times they have held teams to 10 or under. They also had a test in the semifinals winning only 17-14 in a defensive game against Onsted. Since 1950 they are 479-187-8 making the playoffs every year but 2 since 2000. If I counted right they are 1-3 in D6 title games and 0-2 in B title championships in 1984, and 1991. Interesting side note. They lost to Ithaca in the 2010 title game and beat them to stop the winning streak in the 2014 title game.

Both teams have some really good wins on the schedules. Both losses by each are to much bigger schools who made the postseason.

The private school team will probably be a bigger school. maybe a slight lean. I did hear the the feed that the lakers are really banged up.

Pk-em.

St Mary?s forces a 3 and out on first series. They look bigger to me then the Lakers. They are making it look easy in this drive so far. 4th and goal at the 4 and maple city defense hold inside the five on 4 plays! Till those last four plays st Mary?s was getting 8-10 yards a pop. I may revise my thoughts on size. Both teams have some big kids. Glen Lake gets it out to mid field then has to punt. Downed at the 6.

0-0 end of one.

Back to back big plays wiped up by flags for maple city glen lake. Shame because now the Lakers have to punt, and if st Mary’s scores on this drive it may be tough. Lakers need a stop.

Every big flag is going against the Lakers . The last one was bull shit. Awful call. Also a missed holding on the flag.

Both teams swap turnovers in the 3rd. St Mary?s to punt .11 seconds left in 3rd Lakers ball on own 33.
10:15 left Lakers had to punt again. Ball down at the 5.

Not one flag had been called on st Mary?s. 88 yards have been called on the Lkaers.

And on 4th and 2 the dummy for st Mary?s went for it deep in his own end and they had him stopped and refs gave him the spot. He looked stopped to me.
