Marco Scutaro take two

I know we talked about him before but the Rockies are 15 games out and will be sellers soon and Marco has really improves at the plate since his early season struggles.. I know he is 36 but he has 369 career games at second base out of his 1169 games and maybe we could get him cheap.. He can play second and fill in at shortstop if we need him to.

These are his lifetime Comerica park stats.
in 90 at bats .278/.371/.467/.838 25/90 with 4 homes and 5 doubles.. 17 runs.. 14/11 BB/k's..

I know his home and away splits are pretty big this year in Colorado . Just hoping we can get a second basemen soon.

I agree just a good veteran that is steady at either second base or SS. I think his obp has not dipped below .330 the last 5 or 6 seasons...

The problem is what we have to give up for him, the Rockies know we're hurting and unless they are willing to take someone like Wilk or Weber straight up for him it's too much, which is the problem when targeting a guy like Scutaro who is not that good, but looks great compared to what we have.

Oh I agree with you that we are stuck... Other team's know they can squeeze us but i do agree we need to get him very cheap or just pass till the off season.. I am sure DD will try and find someone on without trying to give up too much...
