Lol.. I got a new lions cap for christmas..pretty nice
Go Lions!!!!!! Happy holiday's everyone..
One day we will be on top and wearing our lions gear proudly!!!!!!
Yeah, and that will erase 57+ years of futility. Aren't the Lions like 100+ games under .500 since WCF Sr. purchased the franchise? Best thing that could ever happen would be that he passes away the year before the Lions finally play in or win a Superbowl. @ age 89 next March it looks like a distinct possibilty, but the old blueblood coot will probably live into his 90s....sigh.
I did not ask for nor did I receive any lions gear for Christmas thank goodness..I did get my electricity back after 3 days though that was a great gift
We got my son's daughter a Calvin jersey...
Yeah I did the numbers a few years back and up to 1963 as a franchise the Lions were around 30+ games over .500 and had won 4 NFL titles in five try's including 3 out of 4 in the 1950's and after the Ford's took control of the team we are now around 100+ give or take under .500, and only one playoff win.. I think KC mentioned that the Ford's bought the team on the day or around the day that Kennedy was killed... Not sure about that.. I will look around or do the numbers again on Ford..
From Wikipedia:
On November 22, 1963, Ford purchased a controlling interest in the Detroit Lions of the National Football League from the previous owners, Edwin Anderson and Lyle Fife for $4.5 million.
So, yes it appears as though Ford did in fact purchase the Lions the same day JFK was assassinated.
Also from Wikipedia, since I've seen it posted on here many times that WCF has no affiliation with Ford Motor Company, "According to the Forbes Magazine, Ford was the 373rd richest man in America, with a net worth of over $1.4 billion in 2013.[1] Ford reportedly owns 6.7 million shares of Class B stock, and 26.3 million common shares, in other words, Ford is the largest single shareholder in the Ford Motor Company."
Merry Christmas, guys!!!
Nice Lions sweatshirt and Reggie Bush tshirt under the tree. Ugh, they should be in the playoffs ... sigh. lol
Was at dog track in ft myers florida...reggie bush was running in the sixth race..had to place $2 win on him...yep..he won..his best run all season
Did he drop anything before hitting the finish line?
