from the national media, outside of his fellow (former)ESPN employees and Ohio* guys like Robert Smith and Herbie who work there.

Jim Rome .... Dan Patrick ... others --- totally calling him out for bailing on UF when the team suddenly lacks any Tebow and conveniently popping up 10-months later at Ohio*

I don't think anybody was daft enough not to know this would all happen just as it did, it's more the way he's now lying about all of it, rather than just own up and move on.

Not necessarily the smoothest entrance for a guy coming into a program that is facing NCAA sanctions and issues involving coaching and administration honesty.

That's exactly why it's such a perfect fit though. A scumbag coach for a scumbag program. He will lie and cheat to get what he wants and then bail when the road gets too tough, it's been his MO for the last 10 years or so and will continue to be. He's a dick and I can't wait to watch Hoke and the boys beat his ass every November for the next 3-4 years or however long he decides to stay at Ohio.

Well if what they say about the cream always rising to the top, surely the crap must sink to ohio.

Urban to prize recruit: "If you come to Ohio*, I will remain as coach. If you don't, I will resign, so I'm counting on you."

It's interesting that you say that. Just the other day I heard a reporter say that Urban Meyer is "The cream of the crap."

I really dont have a problem with it and the media shouldnt either. For how much teams fire coaches with years still left on their contract for me its kinda refreshing to see a coach go out when he wants to then come back cause he gets a dream opportunity elsewhere. hes already stated that if it was any other opportunity other than OSU hed still be retired. Why the hell would you want to lose all of your good players than try to compete against Alabama, LSU and Auburn. Eff that..get the hell out of dodge and come dominate a weak Big 10.

I just find it funny that Herbie is out proactively defending his flip-flop while others are not and it seems like there's a lot more leeway given by some than others. I suppose it's no different than FoxNews covering a GOP story and comparing the angle to MSNBC's.

I just with Herb Meijer wouldn't be such a bald-faced liar repeatedly about these things...as if we fans are that stupid.

Speaking of "Herbie", does anyone else call him "Herpe" or is it just me? Every time during a broadcast when Musburger starts with, "You know, Herbie ..." I can't help but replace it with, "You know, Herpe". I'm a sucker for these kind of things though, lol, ie: Terrelle Pryor = TP = Toilet Paper, Tony Romo = Tony Homo, Matt Cassell = Matt Asshole, etc.

So what do we call Erin Andrews?

Could you imagine if your new coach was the same guy that embarrassed your team in the NC game a few years ago 41-14? What would that be like?

"Uh,,,, yeah,,,,, sorry about that one guys,,....

You're talking about the same program that hired John Cooper from ASU because he beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl ....

It's like RedSox fans talking smack at Yankees fans because they hired Bobby Valentine.

Yeah, but he beat them, and in embarrassing fashion too. Don't you think there should be a little lingering animosity there? Buckeye fans are totally projecting here. They think they are going to be in Florida's position in a NC game.
