Mhsaa playoff system changing after 2020 season

Maybe this will finally be a catalyst to fix the hockey playoffs, where every team makes them and there is no seeding. Regions and districts are pre-set, and there's a random draw within them. It makes for some very good teams getting eliminated in the first game and sub-.500 teams making the regional finals and even quarter-finals.

I am not a huge fan of this. I really don?t want to see 4-5 schools in the playoffs. This just rewards tougher conferences and hurts northern schools who probably have a hard time scheduling tough teams Anyway. Most Conferences only have 1,2, or 3
non-conference games, and teams in the Wolverine B have zero non-Conference games.
