I don't know if there will be interest in a game thread or not - I don't really care for them and I plan to watch on dealy (son's flag football is noon) but I thought this was as good a story as any to start one...

Actual conversation I just had w/ our office administrator (a woman in her mid 60s who has lived here in NJ her whole life w/ no real B1G ties):

Her: michigan/Michigan State is this weekend, right?

Me: yes

Her: I don't know who the coach is for Michigan State but that Harbaugh, he's a trainwreck.

Prediction:
MSU 24
uofm 17

There are rumors flying all around on injured players returning for both teams.

Latest is that LJ will play, but earlier in the week it was said he's done for the year.

Pretty confident Jarvis, Stewart, and Nailor will play.

Rumor that Josiah Scott has been practicing this week and might be our nickel this week, who knows.

Cody WHite might play.

Rashan Gary was done for the season, now people say he might play, others say he won't play, but will be back in a couple weeks.

MSU 17 UM 16

I don't want LJ to come back - he'll get carries he doesn't deserve and kill drives either by soft running of missing blocks like he did when he was healthy.

Rashan Gary doesn't really scare me - I think he's overrated. Winovich is the biggest threat on defense, Lewerke has to be aware of him and he has to make him miss because our line will miss him a bunch.

Hate to do it but just don’t see it. I think they’re better at almost every facet than us (except kicker and head coach). I think we’ll start hot but taper off. If we have 2+ turnovers I don’t see a way we can win. I’ll be there though hoping it doesn’t pour.

I don't know what the score will be but I didn't give us much of a shot last year and MSU dominated. I will just say anything can happen in a rivalry game and the Spartans win a close one.

MSU 63
U of M 2

It’s not close. We play on emotion and come out dominating up front on both sides of the ball. Davis goes for 175 and 3 TD. LJ for 150 and 2TD.

We can’t consistently run and Lewerke has missed too many passes to make me believe we could pull this off. 31-17 Michigan

Harbaugh is firing his team up with non sequiturs and blank stares 100 yards in the distance but it wont be enough.

I don't either really but I can't allow myself to put a losing score in print.

All dressed: Kevin Jarvis, Darrell Stewart, LJ Scott, Josh Butler, Jalen Nailor, Cam Chambers.

Not dressed: Laress Nelson, David Beedle, Cody, WHitre, or CJ Hayes.

Oh Jesus fucking Christ. Cole Chewins not warming up with 1st team O Line.

Looks like he broke his arm or hyper extended it. 2 plays after all that stuff before the game.
