michigan week

Do we make a bowl game this year? Have we scored more than 20 points this season? Holy shit this offense is bad. Take notes from Oklahoma and fire both of your ?co offensive coordinators? (which is a complete fucking joke anyway). Don?t give me the injury bullshit either. We would have ran the same dumb ass plays with all of our guys in there and they still wouldn?t have worked.

The better team won.

But man, I cannot believe this offense. The game plan was awful, but the execution was even worse. Lewerke had open receivers all second half and couldn't hit anyne.

Just feel awful for Felton Davis, he will not get drafted now. MAtt Allen going down is another big loss. I cannot believe the injuries, this is beyond anything I have seen. Lewerke is said to be battling a leg injury all year too. So basically, out of our starters, Matt Sokol is the only one not to be hurt significantly this year.

Apparently Lewerke has been hurt for weeks and wasn’t able to practice at all last week. WTF is going on? This many injuries is impossible. The staff really needs to look at training. No other team has this many key players hurt.

I dont know of its training, just bad luck. Lewerke was supposedly a game time decision with a shoulder injury. Looking back, he shouldnt have played or at least gotten pulled after a few series of missing open receivers by a mile. You hate to throw a qb out there who never completed a pass at this level but he would have given us a better chance

So my question is, when did this “shoulder injury” happen? Because this has been a problem all season with missing wr’s badly. Going back to last year he it seems he was bailed out by his wr’s making amazing catches. Now without those wr’s able to make those plays I’m worried we’re just seeing the real Brian Lewerke.

Shoulder injury happened at Penn State. I've also heard he has a leg injury that has kept them from calling more designed runs though that he's been dealing with all season. Watching him from last season, he's not even the same player.

He played pretty well up until penn state and even there, when it mattered he got it done. Up to this week, he'd had too many picks but as I recall, a lot were on tipped balls. He had a rough game, no doubt but the conditions were horrible and the line let him down again and the coaching staff didn't do anything to help w/ shitty play calling. They needed to throw more screens, short routes to the tailback, etc to take advantage of the pressure and get him some confidence.

We have a ton of injuries and a shit line - expecting Lewerke to make throws downfield in the rain and wind with defenders bearing down on him is asking too much. This one falls on the coaching staff more than Lewerke.

And do we need to look at replacing Ken Manning and the training staff? we seem to have in inordinate number of injuries way too frequently for it to be random misfortune.

Maybe my eyes have failed me. The line hasn’t run blocked for shit, but pass pro hasn’t been as bad. Every game I’ve seen him completely miss open wr’s on 10 yard patterns. Plus he’s hardly made any plays with his feet this year either. Good QB’s overcome things and make some plays. I’m starting to think he’s just meh.

He didn't practice until Friday of Michigan week, Felton sat out until Thursday. Our offensive prep was Lombardi throwing to 2nd and 3rd string wide outs all week. That's not a recipe for success against a good defense

As bad as Lewerke and the offense was, we were still tied up at 7 until like 2 minutes until the 4th quarter. Game was there for the taking

the fumbled punt was a momentum killer but the bigger problem was the defense getting worn down. they were solid all day with the only sustained drive being the early TD and they had them stopped on that drive as well until the tipped ball on 3rd and long. They simply spent too much time on the field because our offense sucked so badly.

Looking back now, if Lewerke was so hobbled I wish they would?ve just went with Jefferson running the veer.
