More Rich Rod "I told you so"

"I wondered what they were going to do with Denard," Rodriguez said. "The talk was that they weren't going to run him 20 times a game. They were going to make him pro-style. The last few games they're running him over 20 times a game. The reason they're doing it is because they want to win."

A novel concept, for sure.

THE author should've talked to someone other than RichRod to get the background for that story. But then again, they both work for CBS, so it was probably easier to just walk over to Rich's cube and chat for a couple minutes than to actually research Michigan football 2007-2011.

gah. I had to stop reading that article when I got to this part: ""I knew coming in the first spring at Michigan," Rodriguez said. "I told the administration, 'You might not want to believe this, but it's going to take this more than three years. But after that, we're going to have a whole lot of fun.'""

But shouldn't they wait until they get everything just right before they win?

Debatable.

His name was coming up related to the Arizona job out West today ...

It would be nice if he could get hired somewhere and get over it.

So apparently, Dave Brandon's study on what factors correlate with success (roots in the area being a big one) is either unknown or not taken seriously elsewhere.

well, he won't have trouble with expectations there, I guess. that should make things easier for him.

but you still need a defense in the PAC-12. Give him a couple years, and he'll make Arizona into the Poor (and dumb) man's Oregon.

Well AZ is a pretty crummy job, apparently -- nice enough climate and place to live and all.

But they're apparently looking for a *wow* factor and have a young AD ... talking Leach, Rich Rod and Gary Barnett. Apparently Barnett lives in the Phoenix area already./

Not like you need one in the SEC, BigTen or Big12.

UL Lafayette would be a perfect fit for him.

They are 5-1... Not a chance..

It would appear that Hoke runs Rodriguez's offense just as well as Rodriguez did, and runs the defense vastly better.
